All too often people get caught up with the idea of being "in love" without fully understanding the difference between love and lust. Ah ha! There is a difference!
What most consider "being in love" is actually an attraction to another person. The attraction, ignited by hormones can be fleeting, fatal, or lasting and is more accurately defined as "being in lust"!
The problem with most people experiencing this type of "being in lust" is that just as quickly as people fall in; they fall out--hence the high divorce rate, domestic violence, and pure insanity when people don't want people--any more.
When "love" (total respect and admiration and affection) resides within self--it is so much easier to understand loving another person and recognizing love for its true worth.
If we abide in the unconditional love (no matter what we do or say, we cannot force Him to not love us) of Jesus, we are able to spread the love like the dandelions that spring up everywhere we look. The dandelion is a great example of God's love towards us. When His love is living deep down within, we have no problem sharing, knowing it will be replenished and refilled, time after time.
Forget about the "being in lust" for another. Try living in His Love and watch the world change around you!
