"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the
salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time" (I Peter 1:3-5 NIV).
In Peter's greeting--to all who have been exiled across the provinces--including Asia. he reminds people of what God has done--for us--through Jesus Christ. Now, it's time for us to do something.
Because
of His mercy, we have been given a new birth--we are
born-again--spiritually--so we might receive the inheritance of heaven
and God's protection until such time that we breathe our last. If we are
willing to acknowledge the hope we have in the resurrection of Jesus
Christ and have faith that we, too shall rise again after our physical
death, we will enter into the promise.
What does this mean? Whatever issues we claim to be inherent with our physical birth--we can be born-again. We do not have to succumb to anything that hinders or creates obstacles from our receiving God's best in our lives.
Generational curses can be broken with obedience to God. Miracles can
be received with faith in God. All things are possible with Him and with
Him, nothing is impossible!
For all who have not
been "born-again" of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, it is not too late--as
long as the last breath has not been taken. While we are yet living, we
have opportunity to receive all of God's promises that He has in store
for us--in the earth realm. If we have acknowledged Him and submitted to
His guidance before we die, nothing happens or is possible after we
die--"for the dead know nothing."
It is time recognize
the mercy of God and be born again--accepting the new birth--a new
birth that gives us another chance to get things right with God before
Jesus returns!
Why hesitate? The time is now--receive all that God has for you by submitting to His will!
