Fear and Desperation!

With the release of the much anticipated "Nunes Memo" the media is in an uproar--trying to understand and explain it. I have read it and conclude along with the experts (of which I am not a legal expert, but have expert reading comprehension skills), that this prose was written out of a state of fear and desperation. Devin Nunes and the others who insist there is either a "deep state" within the Intelligence Community or a "secret society" (based on text messages) have demonstrated they're afraid of being exposed in something sinister. My guess--we have traitors in the White House and enablers of the traitors in Congress.

I've said it before--Congressional GOP knew from the beginning that trump was involved in something shady, but they went along with it because of greed and the opportunity to really screw America.

I must state for clarity's sake that Fox News and hosts are touting the memo has a means of demonstrating corruption in the FBI and have convinced trump--it vindicates him from further scrutiny in the Mueller Investigation. Not true--and anyone with a brain can see through this ruse. The three and half pages insinuate a great deal, but explain nothing and provide no evidence of anything other than "innuendo" about bias involved in who paid for the "Dossier." First all, if any need to be reminded, the Opposition Research on trump was initiated by a Republican group, not the DNC--who later continued the investigation and paid for the work they received. However, this memo does not include the fact that Steele (British operative) continued his investigation past the time and payment received by Fusion GPS. What the GOP has succeeded in doing, is drawing greater scrutiny into the affairs of the trump administration and anyone involved with them.

The memo fails to indict the FBI who were simply doing their job in their surveillance of Carter Page which started in 2013. These are the facts, not just opinions. The raised eyebrows over text messages is a deflection--in hopes of keeping people off balance from actually seeing the truth.

The trump administration and GOP's attempt to "claim FBI bias" has nothing to do with the reality of the situation. They have implied--repeatedly that if a person works for the FBI (DOJ) they are not entitled to expression of their personal opinions--especially if those opinions are contrary to what the GOP want to hear. No one who works in government is vetted/screened based upon their political affiliation. That is unconstitutional at the least and discriminatory at most. Who a person votes for or what their political affiliation is has nothing to do with their ability to do their job and as professionals, to do the job--professionally--without bias. I believe the FBI is more than capable of doing their job, professionally.

At any rate, I've ranted on Twitter for the past two days about the stupidity we keep seeing coming out from the White House and the Republican party. It's time Congress did its job regarding their oversight in Congress and draft Articles of Impeachment against trump or get out the way. They are abdicating their responsibility and disregarding their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution--not the person on the Oval Office.  Someone is confused and it's not me or the general American Public who see through all the smoke screen. They are enablers of the stupidity and should be charged with treason along with the trump administration--the entire team.

We deserve better in America. I can provide it with a different Congress--one in which all the players care about America as much as I do. We can change this landscape and we will start with the mid term election in 2018--even if Russia continues to interfere. We will prevail!

What Hides Behind Confusion?

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:9-18 NIV
What hides behind confusion? If we accept what The Word says, bitter envy and selfish ambition are the root causes of confusion and disorder. Does this explain the situation in the White House?

We know there is a pathological liar in the Oval Office--pretending to govern when he doesn't have a clue. We know that he suffers from multiple personality disorders and possibly dementia or Alzheimer's disease--in addition to the cognitive disconnect that has existed for some time. We know that he wants to be the center of attention at all times and will do anything to maintain the focus on him whether it is positive or negative. We know that he will bully and bribe to get his way. We know (at least some of us) that 2016 election results would not have happened if not for the Russian hacking, false propaganda, and complicity encouraged by him with other GOP. We know this and for those who don't--I suggest having some time alone with God and allowing Him to reveal truth.

The promotion of  false propaganda is continuing through various news outlets--Fox News, Breitbart and the Sinclair group and apparently it's working in its endeavor to brainwash those who watch them. Considering who owns these companies, it is not a stretch to understand their motives. They want to control what gullible Americans think and do and to promote a false narrative that blinds people to the truth--creating mass confusion for any who dare to think for themselves about what news sources to believe; especially since--the one in the Oval Office--keeps screaming "fake news" about anything that doesn't show him in a favorable light.

If the FBI probe about Russia and his involvement is a hoax--why make so much noise about it? Why try to get others to lie about it? Why fire an FBI director because of it? Why invite GOP members of Congress--who will serve on the panel to question the former director--to dinner two nights before the former director is scheduled to testify about conversations with him? Is this yet another attempt to obstruct the flow of truth by bribery or bullying--yet again?

Will we see integrity and honor return to Washington any time soon? For the GOP to proclaim to be the party of moral values, I haven't seen any evidence through their actions in a healthcare bill, their proposed budget, the actions of the Attorney General, rolling back consumer protection policies or much else. I have seen (as have others) all the evidence of a group of people trying to amass wealth at the expense of depriving the poor and needy access to assistance and living a healthy life.

I have more questions than answers pertaining to the status quo in Washington and that may continue to hover over my ability or anyone else's to ignite change in Washington that will benefit all. Not having the answers right now--won't keep me from seeking them and developing viable solutions for all Everyday Americans.

Pray Like Never Before!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:16-20 NIV
When we see how leadership fails the people--to protect themselves from exposure--we know we're moving closer to falling off the cliff into an abyss.

America is doomed if Americans don't wake up and smell the stench coming from the White House.

Now, we see that party loyalty is more important that protecting democracy for the country--lies and liars--will be our downfall and Putin will sit back and laugh at his success. Remember this, if a person throws a rock into a pack of dogs, only the one hit will react. Sally Yates threw the rock and tRump reacted by firing the FBI director investigating him. Says quite a bit, all by itself.

GOP Congresspersons need to confess their role in the collusion to derail the election and then exercise the power they have over the menace in the White House and draft impeachment proceedings, immediately. That is the only solution.

The Path of the Wicked!

Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity? No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies. Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be. Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; LORD, tear out the fangs of those lions! Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows fall short. May they be like a slug that melts away as it moves along, like a stillborn child that never sees the sun. Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns— whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away. The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked. Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” Psalm 58:1-11 NIV
POLITICS ALERT!

When a person is a sore loser, they snatch at any straw they can find in an attempt to redeem themselves--from falsely promoting an election that is rigged against them to deliberately deceiving the masses by promoting untruths.

Not many people may think about who alerted the media about the letter Director Comey sent to the Republican chairs and the ranking Democrats about the possibility of having pertinent information regarding emails--"connected" to Hillary Clinton's aide. In fact, the director himself provided a misleading missive to those he sent the letter, which was later explained, but too little--too late to keep truth in the forefront. So, the letter had to transmitted to the media by those who sought to re-ignite the embers of a campaign that was burning out with more lies--and the Republicans had more to gain from this information than the Democrats so I'm guessing--the Republicans are responsible for the misinformation promoted.

With a flailing campaign and low poll numbers, the great Deceiver pounced on the breaking news with his own breaking announcement--not waiting for details--but giddy with the idea that his frenzied crowd would be elated and they were with chants of "lock her up" before they knew it wasn't about Hillary. But does that matter in the greater scheme of things with a deceiver? No--mission is accomplished--the die has been cast and the roars of the lion--drowning out truth.

The saddest part of this whole situation is that not one person seems to understand how deliberately this information was handled--designed to create more distrust of Hillary because the other candidate hates to lose. He has gone from cries of "foul play" to igniting insurrection by his followers and on more than one occasion has encouraged others to "take her out." One man has already "inferred" that since he is a patriot, if Hillary wins, he will kill her. That's how dangerous this candidate is--in promoting that kind of hatred in this country, in which no dictator reigns.

How anyone can continue to believe that this character--who falsely claims any knowledge of God, and we can see it in his actions--is beyond me. He is a con man of the foulest magnitude! Supporting him as president of the United States is inviting poison to spread throughout the country and watching it seep into the core of the earth.

Fortunately, for those of us who know Truth and Trust God--his endeavors will not get far, for the righteous know how to pray and expect God to act on behalf of those who truly love Him. No weapon--especially not the lies promoted by hatred--will prosper against those who love The Lord and seek to please Him, only.

A half-truth (cherry-picking details) is a whole lie! And we know where liars will end up for their eternity has already been prepared for them.

"By the end of a day that brought stinging criticism of Mr. Comey from both Democrats and Republicans, he appeared on the defensive, saying in an internal email to bureau employees that he had felt obligated to inform Congress, and “we don’t know the significance of this newly discovered collection of emails.’’NYT

Drop Your Rocks!

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 8:3-11 NIV
Sin is sin--no matter what act a person commits and the Bible is very specific about the acts of sin--any deliberate act that opposes God's Word.

Being stupid or "extremely careless" is not a crime. If being stupid was a crime, there wouldn't be enough room in Texas, Florida, or California to hold all the stupid people. In fact, there would probably be more people locked up than free and then what would happen to our economy and military?

We tend to cry foul about some things because we want to draw attention to ourselves--especially those running for elected positions. How many times have we seen and heard--public outcry from politicians about the behavior of one and then have the tides turned upon them and all the cameras were facing them--for the same judgment--the same thing they were quick to condemn others for? I could take the time to list them, but it would be pointless--and their misdeeds are a matter of public record so anyone can search for them.

The point to all of this is--the FBI cleared Clinton of any criminal intent--saying she was "extremely careless" (which amounts to being stupid), but had not committed any crimes. Therefore, all those crying foul--should be silent a moment and think about their own lives and see if they, too should be indicted for being stupid.

Not one person reading this blog--unless they had access to all the facts--is in a position to judge the situation--not the director's decision or Clinton's actions. Anything and everything we say--including her opponents in this election cycle--is a matter of speculation and opinion and our opinions matter not--when facts are more important.

Of course, the media won't let this rest because it's a matter of ratings--who can be more sensational than another station or newspaper. I don't care what anyone else says, "extremely careless" is not a condemnation, but a reprimand and there is a difference in the definition of the words. But we understand--the stronger the language used--the more abhorrent the act seems--and everybody is picking up their rocks to throw.

Think about it--if you've ever done anything stupid, or were "extremely careless" about a decision or act--negligent if you will--drop your rocks. I can guarantee that anyone crying foul and wants to see her indicted, will soon have the cameras on them--facing possible indictments for real crimes--not imagined ones. History--always repeats itself--and when we don't learn from history--we keep making the same foolish decisions.

Drop your rocks and think about your own life and then determine within yourself--that you will seek wisdom before speaking--or judging another with opinions and not facts.

Mightier Than The Sword (Excerpt)

“You better come up with something, soon. Word got out yesterday that we’re investigating police officers and if we don’t do something soon, all Hip Hop is going to break loose around here. You got that!” he yelled.

Tyson was holding the phone away from his ear while the chief yelled and when he finished, he moved it closer to his ear.

“Yeah, Chief, I got that!”

“Well do something, quick. Samson and Melandro are off the beat until they’re cleared. Not much they can get into sitting in the squad room, but this doesn’t look good and the other officers are beginning to smell a rat. I don’t like rats stinking up my police station, so call me back with something concrete,” he barked and hung up.

Wearily, Tyson put his phone back in his pocket. “Well, I guess you know the chief is not happy. We’ve got to do something soon.”

“Okay, okay, we cannot do any more until we get those reports. Let’s use our time wisely here. We must be able to put together a case—with a motive—which we have not determined as yet, before we can turn this over to the district attorney,” Battle said.

Mightier Than The Sword! (Excerpt 2))

The moment she thought about their ability to solve crimes, she got a check in her spirit that was so strong that she opened her eyes and looked around her. It was almost as if someone had spoken aloud, but she knew she was alone in the bungalow.

“That’s odd. I wonder where that thought came from,” she wondered aloud.

She pulled out her bible and put on her glasses to read for a while. While she was reading, again she got a check in her spirit. The thought came to her, “this rest will not be for long.”

“What the heck does mean?” She pulled her glasses off and sat nibbling on the end of the stem of eyeglasses, lost in thought.

Laying her head back against the chair in which she was sitting, she closed her eyes and before she knew it, she was asleep and dreaming. Her dreams encompassed the energy draining case they had just closed in which a white male had systematically chosen his victims—females between the ages of 21 and 25, light-complexioned, with short, close-cropped hair styles. He had abducted and raped them and then chained them in abandoned buildings, with their mouths duct-taped, left to die.

Fourteen women had been found dead in three different states before they finally caught him—in the act of abducting female number fifteen. A witness to the abduction had the presence of mind to videotape the attempt while screaming for someone to call 911. The woman escaped and the man had fled, but not before video of his car was made. When police arrived with the FBI, the woman and the witnesses were able to give a good description and helicopter units were on the scene within minutes. They had found him cowering in what appeared to be the next abandoned building he had planned to use for his victim. In his car, they found a knife, duct-tape, and a chain-ripper with a roll of chain links.

When questioned about the deaths of the women, he was vile and spewed profanity venomously at anyone with short hair. He wore his hair long and it was matted and tangled, making him look like a mad-man in a horror movie.

The psychologist who had profiled the killer had already intimated that the killer was someone who hated short-haired females because they reminded them of men who might have harmed them when they were younger. Eventually, they were able to ascertain that the killer had witnessed his father, raping young, light complexioned black girls just for the fun of it and had attempted to get him involved. During an attempt to rape another victim, his father was killed when the victim fought back and stabbed him to death. Watching from a hole in a wall where his father dragged his victims, he could not get help for him before he died. Apparently, in his mind, he was avenging his father’s death by raping the women and leaving them to die.

Tiffany groaned in her sleep and then turned over into another position. She saw drops of blood circling her and someone with a hood over their face holding a sword. Just as they got close enough to raise the sword to strike, she woke up, drenched in sweat.

Shaking like a leaf, she got out of the chair to get a cold drink. She stood at the sink, holding onto it for fear she’d fall, if she let go of it. Getting a glass out of the cabinet, she opened the refrigerator and took out a bottle of water. Her hand was still shaking as she poured the water into the glass. Lifting the glass with both hands, she was able to steady the glass in order to drink the water, but she was so shaken by the dream that before she could finish the water, the glass slipped from her hand and broke.

Stepping back from the broken glass, she leaned against the wall and forced herself to stop shaking before she attempted to get up the broken glass.

“Breathe,” she told herself out loud, “Breathe!”

Spotting the broom and dustpan in the corner, she retrieved them and swept up the broken glass, but not before a splinter of glass pricked her finger and drops of blood formed a circle on the floor.

She stood frozen—thinking about the dream—and knew that something horrible was about to happen, but she didn’t know what.

Using self-talk to propel herself into motion, she made her way to the bathroom, cleansed the area around the cut and applied antiseptic before wrapping her finger in a bandage.

Going back to her chair, she picked up her glasses, spontaneously chewing on the end, as she became lost in thought.

“Now is not the time for panic,” she told herself. “Now is the time to reflect upon the possibilities and prepare for the unknown.”
