For He Has Done Great Things!

"The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy" (Psalm 126:3 NIV).

In the midst of captivity, persecuted and scorned on all sides, mocked for their beliefs and treated as though they were less than human beings, the children of Israel still understood that God had done great things for them and would continue to do so, no matter how bad things looked.

In order to survive the chaotic nonsense of current events--political drudgery and incompetence, uncertain economy, and a nation of hate-filled, back-biting so-called Christians, we must develop the same attitude: God has done great things for us and He will continue to do so.

What great things has He done? He loved us so much He died for us to save us from ourselves. He is not willing to leave us alone so His Spirit abides in the atmosphere so we have a constant comforter, teacher, and guide. His mercy endures for ever and we wake each day with new mercies when we need them. He is our provider-always has  and always will. He is the Light that keeps us out of darkness. He is the Truth so we have no need to hear the liar. He is our healer--however He chooses to get the job done. He gives us the privilege of walking in His unearned favor--achieving more than we deserve because of who He is.

We are filled with His joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. We will not be moved by those things that we see because our faith is in Him who controls the invisible and the visible alike. The joy of the Lord is our strength! We shall not be moved by the negative reports, but stand--on His Word--the foundation of our faith! Because of His love for us--shed abroad to overflowing in our hearts, we will continue to love others--unconditionally. When He speaks a Word for us to share--we will broadcast it whether it is convenient or not, whether others agree with it or not because we are His ambassadors and we will speak what He speaks!  We will do all things to His glory and not our own!

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for being who You are in our lives. Help us to become who You desire us to be--as individuals and collectively so the world will know--there is a remnant--who will not bow to political correctness or any other ungodliness that surfaces in the earth realm. Thank You for loving us and filling us with joy. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen!

What Love Does!

"No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us" (I John 4:12).

Love is perfected in us, when God's love abides within
Love does covers (eradicates) a multitude of sin
Love seeks to do good to all - children, men and women
Love chooses to do what is right, hoping everyone wins
The battle against the enemy who does not know Love!

When we truly love God and allow His love to live large in us, we cannot seek or hope for the failure of others. We do wish bad things to happen to those who we simply cannot agree. When we love we do disrespect those in authority because God tells us in His Word that we should pray for those in authority.  If we are disrespecting people, we certainly are not praying for them.

I do not agree with a great deal that the President and Congress, governors and mayors, and many others in authority are doing, but I certainly am not promoting hatred because I don't agree with them. I am so weary of all the hate-filled propaganda directed at the President by so-called Christians who are making a mockery of truly being one. It is obvious to me that those who proclaim to know God have no clue since God is love. The Tea-Party faction has proven without doubt they have no true knowledge of God or they would cease their promotion of hate. I pray that God does a mighty work in their lives so they can see themselves as they truly are. They certainly are not ambassadors for Christ when they hate without reason. But then again--the religious groups hated Jesus without cause, had Him arrested out of envy and persecuted out of hatred, and they unwittingly were fulfilling God's plan so that no one has ever forgotten the name of Jesus!

Love promotes goodwill towards all, not hatred. Love looks beyond our faults and sees the potential to rise above circumstances and be victorious in all things. Love prays for those who have lost their way. Love never ceases to encourage others to love like God loves--unconditionally.

Father, I pray that all who are promoting hatred will cease and desist. I pray that You will forgive their sin and fill them with love overflowing so when they look in the mirror, they will understand who You are. I pray for those in authority all over the world, that they will seek You and Your wisdom in governing all people. I further pray for every born-again believer--encourage hearts and strengthen them to stand against every evil that arises against You and Yours. Help us to understand that the only superior race in the world is the human race and that is because of Your love. In Jesus' name, I pray and declare--all is well! Amen!

How we know!

For those who know God and understand that "all scripture" is given by inspiration, for correction and exhortation so we will know how to live a life that is pleasing to God.

"But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister" (I John 3:5-10 NIV)

Don't let anyone deceive you into believing that God has changed His mind about what sin is or what it does. People change their minds about what they want to believe and sometimes--the change is to justify actions that are totally against what God says. Regardless of the reason for people changing their minds--sin is still sin and God is still the same God who says in His Word that "He changes not."

Those who know Him--know His Word--and live His Word because of our relationship with Him--developed over time and in deep commitment to please Him, not self. We know how to love--all, unconditionally--and because we love--we promote the Truth of God's Word!

Those who do not know Him--but profess a "belief" in Him--have only a surface knowledge without relationship, but fully religious. They attempt to justify their actions and their influence in others to do not live right (according to God's Word) by saying things like--"Jesus was all about love, He doesn't care what we do." What a fallacy! Jesus is all about love and it was because of His Love that He was willing to sacrifice Himself for us! He cares! He demonstrated that He has not stopped loving us because His Words resonate with those of us who Know Him--"...go and sin no more."

Get into the Word, know what God says, and make a decision to live God's Word--loving all and not committing acts of sin under the guise of ignorance. Now you know!

All I Can Do!

No matter how many resolutions we make,
No matter how often we reflect upon the past,
Seeking understanding, paths we don't want to take
Studying The Word, so our endeavors will last,
Trying always to please God in all things,
Expecting the Blessings obedience brings
So we can enjoy the abundant life,
The promise of our King of Kings!

And when we have done all we can do, the only thing left is to wait to see the promises fulfilled, knowing that God is not a man that He should lie and what He has said, He will bring it to pass. What He has begun in us as a good work, He is faithful to complete and we have to know that there is no good thing, He will withhold from His children.

We are children of the Most High and we walk in His favor--when we believe we receive we shall have all we have asked for and we know there is nothing impossible with God.

All shall be as God has ordained it to be from the foundation of the earth, He knows and understands the trials we face and He has provided a means of escape from all that would attempt to bombard us with doubt--we simply trust Him to do all things well on our behalf.

When we pray, we give thanks and praise to the Only Wise God, Creator of Heaven and lover of our souls. He is the great I Am, The Truth, The Light and The Way, making ways where there were none for us to enjoy the abundant life--the enemy hopes to steal from us. And in all things, we present our petitions and requests in the name of Jesus, as He has said and He will be our advocate with the Father and it shall be done.

Having done all we know to do, then we stand firm on our faith in The Word, immovable, without any doubt, knowing that He and He alone can bring us out of the turmoil and into the pleasant places of His design.

I have done all I can do and now Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask  for Your divine intervention in all things so I may move forward, promoting the gospel and encouraging others to Your glory. Tear down the strongholds in the minds of those who have been blinded by the enemy and cause all of his plans to cease and desist, immediately. I surrender my will and thoughts for You to mold and direct as only You can and I wait with patience to hear Your reply.

Expecting My New Thing!

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland" (Isaiah 43:19 NIV).

It is not that God has not always provided for me and my family, but I am expecting to see even greater "new things" as we journey through this new year.

Am I the only person for whom The Lord has remained a continuous fountain of provision and trust?

Has He not provided for you and made ways of escape when you thought all was lost?

His promise to us is that even in the midst of chaos and confusion, economic drought and emotionally instability, He will be with us through it all and He will bring us through it--strengthening us, building character and encouraging others by what they see happen to us, to have faith in Him.

When God does "the new thing"--make sure you recognize it and move forward in His grace and mercy. Do not provoke His anger by being ungrateful for all the small things He does because it is the small things that are part of the great foundation He's building to give you the big things! Think about the foundation of your house! If it is concrete--it was formed with grains of sand (the small things). When we cannot appreciate the small things, we never see the big things that He can do for us.

Move in wisdom--discernment--always listening and seeking understanding--thanking Him for all He does.

Happy New Year!

In this new year, we have another chance to get things right with God. God is doing a new thing--right now--giving us opportunity to receive the blessings He has already prepared for us.  Surrender your mind to Christ so the enemy will have nothing to use against you. All of our thoughts and actions will be directed by God--to benefit all of mankind--when we surrender our all to Him. Don't look back if looking back becomes an anchor that keeps you from moving forward. Keep your head up, your heart filled with God's love that overflows onto all you meet and then sit back and reap the benefits of having an awesome God for a Father--who takes care of His children!
Happy New Year!
