She opens her mouth with wisdom,Talking about the virtuous woman (one who conforms to moral and ethical principles, she functions with moral excellence) in this passage of proverbs, we see that kindness--governs everything she says.
And on her tongue is the law of kindness. Proverbs 31:26
In this 31st chapter of Proverbs, we get--from the 10th verse forward--the standards by which we can evaluate a virtuous woman (wife). The standard that God sets is indeed "raising the bar" for all women, but is it not the way we should think in all we do?
We should honor husbands and all others and the way we do that is to exercise wisdom (Godly wisdom--not man's) in how we talk to everyone. When we constantly seek God for His wisdom, we will operate with His kindness--willing to comfort and correct.
Of course, for those who do not receive the kindness we offer, that is held against them, not us. We are not responsible for how people react or respond to us; we are responsible for how we respond to them. Sometimes, in the midst of an intense situation, wisdom prevails when we say nothing at all.
Helping people to accomplish their best--when we are capable of doing so--should be a goal for everyone. We are all gifted to do certain things and if we all coordinate the gifts we have for the good of all, how awesome would we be?
So, what goal can we help someone accomplish today? The need is great and we'll just have to find out. It could be as simple as getting an item off a shelf for someone in a grocery store or moving a shopping cart out of their way. Or it could be as complex as creating a means to help someone get through a process by simplifying it.
Whatever it is that we can do, let's do it to the glory of God! Have a wonderful day extending kindness to at least six people!
