"Follow God's example, therefore as dearly loved children
and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself
up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But AMONG YOU
there must not be even a hing of sexual immorality, or of any kind of
impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are
out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No
immoral, impure, or greedy person--such a person is an idolater--has any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." (Ephesians 5:1-5 NIV)
In
every letter Paul writes to the churches, he encourages those who
belong to God to live like God would have them to live--using God as an
example for living on a daily basis. Notice--he is writing to
the churches--explaining how Christians (or rather Believers) should
live for he knows that those outside of the Body of Christ will not heed
his advice. If they did listen, they would be included in the Body.
This
very simple understanding is key for all Believers--God inspired men to
write what He said in order to perfect the lives of those who would
believe. If people choose not to believe the Bible is God's
inspired Word, that is their prerogative and they can be assured that
they don't have to believe, but the consequences and the judgment shall
be the same for all--Believers and unbelievers. For God is not a respecter of persons--when judgment comes--it rains upon all, saved and sinner alike.
Even though most of us want to see everyone we know saved, it is not our job to try to make people believe. If
they are not convinced by The Word, and we are not living examples of
The Word, then we will be held accountable for what we do, not what they do.
It is absolutely pointless to debate The Word with an unbeliever.
Although many may say they don't believe God, deep down they know there
is force more superior to themselves that holds all power in His hands,
they simply choose to be arbitrary about it. And those who profess to
believe in science alone--they say so because they do not understand the
role of science. Science attempts to explain the existence of things or
how they work. God created all that exists and determined how all things would work before man could even coin the term, "science."
This is not to say there is no value in what scientists do because
there is great value in what they do. However, until they create all
that God created from nothing--they are not gods, but instruments in the hand of God--when they heed Him--led to discovery and invention, not creation.
The directions Paul gives are clear--for Believers--we should not indulge in sexual immorality (and we know all
that is referenced for we know our Father); we should not indulge in
obscene behavior or conversation; we should not indulge in unwholesome
joking (don't pretend you don't know what he's talking about); and greed
should never be part of our lives. For if we indulge in these
things and do not repent--turning completely away from them--we will not
enter into the promised eternity--living in heaven with Christ Jesus.
Are these instructions for you or someone else? The
Believer--who is in relationship with God, understands God's Word and
the role of Jesus Christ coming down from heaven--knows the truth. And when we know truth, we should live truth and encourage others to do likewise.

What God Reveals By His Spirit!
"However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—these
are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit
searches all things, even the deep things of God." (I Corinthians 2:9,10
NIV)
When we run into people who say our faith in God is pointless, what do we do? Do we argue to no avail or do we simply stand firm on The Word?
When they say there is no God, we don't have to argue the point, but remember this passage of Scripture. For those who say our existence is all about science, they have forgotten that God speaks to the heart of all who listen and even some of the scientists admit they don't have an explanation for everything. Now, here's the beauty of what some of them have come to realize--science does not create--it attempts to explain that which already exists and in some instances--scientists will develop something from that which already existed. Development is not creation. This is not to undermine what scientists do, but to point out that the scientists would have nothing to develop if
God had not already created--all that was created.
Have we seen all of God's Wisdom implemented in the earth? No, not yet. Will we ever? That depends upon us and how well we listen when He speaks. The deeper things this passage references have not been seen or heard of, but are yet to come.
Out of this passage of scripture, we get two things--hope and encouragement. No matter how bad things may appear, we haven't seen the end of the matter because God is yet speaking, by His Spirit, to all who will hear. We are encouraged by The Word, knowing that there are still things we have not even thought about that will come to pass on our behalf. God knows what we need and He knows our heart's desires. When we please Him, He responds by giving us the desires of our hearts.
Though it may not look like He is listening, He hears. Though it may not look like He is working on our behalf, He is. Remember this, we have not heard or seen all of the good things He has in store for us, but they will come and when we see them and hear them, we'll know--it was all Him.
Don't despair over what the naysayers have to say and don't listen to the voices of those spirits who despise Him. Our God is awesome and He is more than enough! When He speaks to others by His Spirit, things begin to change for our good!

His Foolishness Is Greater!
"For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." (I Corinthians
1:25 NIV)
Whenever I hear people say certain things, I'm reminded that there are many who don't believe in God, deny His existence, but always have something to say about Him. Now why is that?
Why would anyone spend their time in endless pursuits trying to prove He doesn't exist? If He doesn't exist, what is there to refute? It's like those who don't believe in ghosts--yet they're fearful of them. Why fear something you don't believe in?
The real issue for me is that when people cannot see something or someone, they choose to ignore or refute the existence of that something or someone. Seeing is not always a good foundation for believing.
Our faith in God is not based upon what we are able to see, but what He is able to accomplish through mere mortals who receive His wisdom. Those mere mortals are the ones who are foolish enough to believe God and because they believe He is, they receive all He has to give.
The foolish are not so wise since they believe that all they know or have is based upon their own abilities. And because they believe in themselves more than the greatness of God, they disavow any knowledge of God in their limited understanding of how He works.
For those of us who Believe without doubting, acknowledge we need His strength and wisdom, we receive and what we receive is foolishness to those who do not understand.
We have God's Word that many will dispute and say His Word is nothing more than the ramblings of ignorant and illiterate scribes who didn't know much. They may not have known much, but we are still reading and holding onto the Word they wrote out of obedience. Now, how foolish of us is that?
We believe in the virgin birth and many would tell us (based on their limited human wisdom) that it was not possible. Really? The same men who deny the virgin birth are yet unable to explain our existence and we should believe them, why? Since the One who created all things created us, it is no big thing for Him to bring Himself into the world through a virgin. It is He who created the body and all things that function within the body so He can do whatever He chooses to do and do it well.
We believe in miracles and those miracles are still revealed today. We see miraculous events that only God could direct and science and scientists are left scratching their heads.
We believe in the work of the cross--that foolishness that we preach, bringing us into position to be saved and have eternal life. The Stone was rolled away and revealed to all the world that Jesus is alive and well!
Of course that is foolishness for those who don't know Him, but since I know Him, I know I'd rather have access to His unlimited wisdom and strength than man's finite wisdom any day.
Every Word of His is true and never changes; every word of man--his laws and policies are fickle and ever-changing to pacify the dictates of the moment. I'd rather have Jesus, than silver and gold and be thought foolish than given any credit for operating in my own wisdom, of which I have none. Everything I know, I know because of Him and everything I do is to glorify Him. If that's foolish, then so be it. I Am a Fool For Christ!

Who The AntiChrists Are!
"Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour."(I John 2:18 NKJV) "Who
is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist
who denies the Father and the Son. (I John 2:22 NKJV) . "and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." (I John 4:3 NKJV)
The prefix "anti" means opposed to or against "whatever it is attached. So with this dictionary meaning, or logic, we can conclude that anyone who denies Jesus, God, is opposed to them or against them--hence--the atheists are antichrist. From a spiritual perspective, that would mean that anyone who is influenced by Satan is "antichrist."
We see the influence of the antichrist working in the world right now! We see it on a global level where chaos and violence reign. We see the influence in entities who wish to "change" everything that God has established, including biological functions and who is male or female. We see the influence in politics when politicians choose to promote their own ungodly agendas in lieu of making decisions that benefit all people and not just those of their ilk. We see the influence when colleges have to change their "language" to be more inclusive of those who are confused about their gender. "God is not the author of confusion," and we know who is. We see the influence when teachers are asked to "ignore the biological assumption of gender classification" and allow children to believe they are "its" (penguins are things).
We see more of Satan's influence on a daily basis and it is amazing that they do not realize who is influencing them. That's blindness! Deception is one of Satan's favorite devices to control and manipulate people. We have to remember he hates mankind and will do anything he can to destroy us because God loves us.
There is an antidote to counteract the influence--His name is Jesus and our response to anything the enemy has started is to proclaim The Name and not back down from anything the antichrist attempt.
The antichrists use "science" as their rationale to oppose God, not realizing that it is God who gives wisdom to those who research and explore, trying to understand why--things already exist! Science has not created anything from "nothing" and even the scientists are muddled with their finds that support biblical records of history. I praise God for the scientists who explore and for the inventors who invent things from those things that already exist.
And for those who say we cannot rationally believe in something we cannot see--God--here's my answer.
I cannot see their thoughts--therefore they must not exist.
I cannot feel their thoughts--therefore they must not exist.
I cannot smell their thoughts--therefore they must not exist.
I cannot hear their thoughts--therefore they must not exist.
I cannot taste their thoughts--therefore they must not exist.
We see the "results" of a person's thinking, just like we see the "results" of the wind--which we cannot see, but believe it exists. We cannot see oxygen, but we know it exists because we are still here, living, breathing human beings, with an established gender--male or female, biologically determined by God.
"The greater one lives in me" and therefore, since I have the mind of Christ, I will proclaim Him forever! There is none like our God, no one in the earth can do what He does or loves like He loves! Hallelujah, Jesus!

My Daddy Did It!
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being” (Revelation 4:11 NIV).
I woke up thinking about the non-believers' conversation about the non-existence of God and of course, I was reminded of God's Word. What I always find both amazing and gratifying is the fact that whenever I need the reminder, my Daddy, through the Holy Spirit, always brings it back to my remembrance, just like He said He would.
Now, before some get upset with my reference to God as my "Daddy" understand that this represents my relationship with God. He is my Father, my Daddy and I never take this relationship for granted. He is the "Great I Am", Jehovah Jireh and known by so many more "titles" that I won't list them here. However He is known by the masses, depends upon their relationship with Him.
At any rate, "He created all things and without Him nothing was created" and that is the end of the matter for most believers.
Rather than argue or debate His existence, we should work on our relationship with God (Our Daddy), listen when He speaks, be quick to obey, and then when people marvel at the great things He does for us and through us, we can proudly say, "My Daddy Did It!"
Look at the cloud formations on various days in various types of weather; My Daddy did it.
Look at the bodies of water that encourage amazement and awe; My Daddy did it.
Look at the hills and mountainsides and wonder people often feel; My Daddy did it.
Look at the miracles performed which no one can explain; My Daddy did it.
Look at the love He has shown us by sacrificing His Son for us; My Daddy did it.
Look at all we have in life that allows us to enjoy life more; My Daddy did it, when He inspired others to create all manner of things.
Look at all the labels we have attached to things; My Daddy did it, when He spoke to those who determined what we call things.
Science is known as science because My Daddy inspired someone to attach the label. Science attempts to explain what already exists, but cannot replicate the intricacies of all that My Daddy has created when He created us!
Everything that mankind has done has ignited a response from My Daddy and mankind has incurred the result of the response of obedience or disobedience, just as He said it would happen.
When the enemy attempts to cause you to doubt, remind him, our Daddy is bigger and that He also created him who is angry enough to engender hatred because of his hatred of God. Satan is the father of liars, a master of deception, and his job is to kill, steal and destroy. I'm so thankful that My Daddy is greater than all the mischief that Satan can devise.
