That Day Is Almost Here!

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:10-12 NIV
Where there is love, there is light
For all to see, unencumbered by darkest night,
Living according to God's Word,
No fear of the masses, not ashamed to be heard,
Every Believer--Loving as God Loves--all--unconditionally!

In the light of day--where there are no clouds and the sun is shining bright--we can see all things clearly and from a distance. Not only can we see, but all around us can see us and what we see. What are they seeing?

There was a time when many of us walked in darkness even during the day, having no knowledge or understanding of who Jesus is or what He's done for us. Hopefully, that time has past and we are walking in the light of wisdom and His love, preparing for that day when He'll receive us unto Himself.

However, there are still many who have not yet understood--that all of their deeds committed in the dark will come into the light--and they will be exposed for all the world to see, while the devil laughs at their calamity. That does not have to be so.

Every Believer who knows Truth and is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus should loudly proclaim God's love for all, His mercy and grace that yet abounds for those of us on this side of heaven, for surely once that day arrives when we are translated from here to there, there will be no need any longer for mercy and grace while we sit at His feet.

That day--the day many have waited for--will soon be here; not soon as we calculate time, but soon as God determines. Will we be ready to stand before Him and give an account of all we have done in the earth and not be ashamed? Will our testimony before Him be marred by acts of darkness that we refused to give up? Or shall the angels rejoice over all we have done to bring others into the marvelous light of love?

Every day brings us closer to that day--and for those who are yet asleep--they shall be awakened by the sound of the trumpet heralding His arrival. Every day--while we yet have opportunity to do so, we should put on the armor of light and love so others will see Him in all of His glory and willingly embrace Truth as God as reveals it through us.

That day is almost here--what are you doing to prepare others for it? Will your life be a living testimony of God's goodness and the light of His glory shines all around you or will the light be dimmed by hatred, bigotry, and wilful disobedience to God's Word? We have choices to make and we must make them now for that day--is almost here.

Only By His Spirit!

"So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty." (Zechariah 4:6 NIV)

Whenever I hear people talk about how they weak they are or I smile and thank God, for in our weakness--He is made strong. Hallelujah! If we would just remember, nothing that challenges us is a battle we must fight alone, for the battle is the Lord's and He will be victorious!

The battle against sin won't be won in courtrooms--it will be won in the Spirit, by those with unwavering faith, consistently communicating with God and promoting Godliness in all they do and say. That is not to say we who believe God should become doormats and do nothing. We should exercise our faith by standing firm in our beliefs and whenever possible, letting our voices be heard and making sure we're saying what God says.

Writing letters and petitions to change the environment for good is an exercise of faith. If we do nothing, we demonstrate a lack of faith. God told Joshua that, "whatever we put our hands to would prosper and we would have good success."

The battles are not won by promoting hate, but by demonstrating love.

The battles are not won by acts of superiority, but by demonstrating kindness. "With loving kindness have I drawn you."

The battles of war are not won by the might and power of anyone's military might, but by those who have confidence in God to deliver and set free all those who belong to Him and they are always walking in the Spirit, seeking His wisdom and direction.

If all the military strategists would seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, wars would cease.

If all government leaders would seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, there would be peace in the land.

If all parents would seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, there would be peace in homes.

If everyone seeking a mate would seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, there would be no divorces.

If everyone married would seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, there would be no domestic abuse.

If everyone would simply seek God's wisdom and act accordingly, there would no need for prisons, we would live healthier lives, and none would be at a disadvantage.

"If" we would just understand that we don't have the power to do anything, and depend on Him, all would have access to living the abundant life we're promised.

Nothing we do in our own strength or wisdom matters--we must depend upon Him and His wisdom, hear and obey and then we shall see change for the best in the land--Only By His Spirit!

Lord, help us to seek You while You may be found, receiving Your Wisdom in all things and acting accordingly so that all we do, glorifies You!

Knowing The Ways!

"For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish." (Psalm 1:6 NKJV)
When I rise and when I raise up,
When I sleep and when I fall tired,
When and why I laugh,
When and why I cry,
When and why I raise my hands in praise,
When and why I drop my head in guilt,
Whatever I do, say, see, or hear,
Whatever moves me--to love or doubt,
There is nothing I can do or think,
That He does not already know about.

He knows all about me and should
Since He is The One Who created me
And chose me before I was ever born,
Knew while I still a thought in my parents' minds,
One day, they would be gone, and I would be left behind.

But because of His love and the path He planned,
Even when I fell short, I could count on His Loving Hand,
Bringing me back where I belonged, so He could teach
Me all I needed about right and wrong so I could preach
His Word as He taught, and walk in His anointing, ordained
By His love, saved by His grace, kept by His mercy,
Forever grateful for His favor, unearned, but given,
Like wisdom and faith, without measure, my choice in choosing,
Following Him and allowing Him--to have me in using,
All He's given to promote, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Just like He knows about me, He knows about you, and you, and you! Hallelujah!

If The Gospel Offends...!

It has occurred to me that some people may not want to hear about The Word on a daily basis.

It has also occurred to me that those same people do not have to read what I write. If the Gospel offends, it is because it brings conviction--makes people aware of sin--even when they try to hide.

We cannot hide from God, nor can we ignore sin--even if we try.

I am accountable for what I write, but I am not accountable for those who choose to reject the truth of the Gospel.

For those who choose to accept, reflect, mediate, and focus on The Lord because of what I write--Amen, Hallelujah! For those who don't--oh well!

I love The Lord and I love encouraging others to come to know Him for themselves, and if that offends--oh well!

When The Lord Stands With Us!

"But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth" (2 Timothy 4:17 NIV).

When The Lord stands with us, He gives us strength to do what must be done.  In this passage of scripture, Paul tells Timothy that while the Gospel was being preached, Paul knew the Lord was with Him and that knowledge gave him the strength and courage he needed to preach to the unbelieving.  If God stood with Paul, will He not stand with us, when we do as are told to do?

I am convinced that even though there are many people who would shun listening to the Gospel message, and there is evidence on a daily basis that many will attempt to refute, if I stand firm in the knowledge that the Lord is with me, I can preach the Gospel and convince others to believe without worrying about the end result.

Some people are afraid to preach the Gospel message (without compromising it) for fear that they will lose friends or people will laugh at them.  People laughed at Jesus; they refuted His attempts to get them to understand that He was the Son of God.  I'd rather be in the company of Jesus than those who would oppose Him.

Perhaps, it is because of my nature that I have never really been concerned about what people thought of me.  I know this attitude helped me to overcome the negativity of being a female preacher in many circles.  I know this attitude helped me to overcome the indifference of many who thought I was crazy to go back to school and begin teaching in public schools at 50 years old.  I know this attitude helped me to overcome the "hems and haws" when I first started writing (seriously) at a late stage in my life.  How did I overcome?  I know the Lord was with me and I was strengthened by the knowledge that He would never leave me or forsake me.  I knew that as long as I was doing what He had either asked me to do or given me permission to do that everything was going to be all right. It is because I knew then and know now, when The Lord stands with me, I can do all things above and beyond my finite expectations and if I can, so can anyone else who believes He will.

Do all things that glorify Him with Him standing by your side and you will be victorious!
