“When they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin—and you become angry with them and give them over to the enemy, who takes them captive to a land far away or near; and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity and say, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong and acted wickedly’; and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and pray toward the land you gave their ancestors, toward the city you have chosen and toward the temple I have built for your Name; then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their pleas, and uphold their cause. And forgive your people, who have sinned against you. “Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. “Now arise, LORD God, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. May your priests, LORD God, be clothed with salvation, may your faithful people rejoice in your goodness. LORD God, do not reject your anointed one. Remember the great love promised to David your servant.” 2 Chronicles 6:36-42 NIVWhen we sin against God and uphold wrongdoing--there is nothing left for Him to do other than to allow us to be held captive to our disobedience.
Whenever the people who know God willfully sin--encouraging others to live in opposition to His Word, He removes His hand of protection and lets the chips fall where they may.
If Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November, it is confirmation that God has removed His Hands from us and will allow us to be held captive because of our unbelief and disobedience. It has happened before and it will happen again.
The only thing left for us to do--is to sit back and do nothing--realizing that when we do, we have only ourselves to blame for the consequences that are sure to follow.
Just as the enemies of God's people swarmed around them and defeated them and brought them in shackles, holding them captive, then as indicated in the above-passage of scripture, it will happen again--if Believers don't stand up and be counted, living The Word, and repenting from sin.
This is not a doomsday prophecy, just a reality check for many who either don't know the history of disobedience or forgot and think it can't happen to us.
Wisdom, Lord Wisdom--keep pouring it onto those willing to hear and obey!
