Evangelicals Are Tired of Living!

Many Evangelicals have conned their congregations into believing God determined that Donald J. Trump should be president because he would usher in the second coming of Christ and they believe that establishing an embassy in Jerusalem will bring it to pass. In essence, they want the end to come based upon John's revelation which means they're tired of living.

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--and to gather them for battle. In number they are like sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:7-10 NIV

He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Revelation 21:6-8 NIV

There is a great deal more that is revealed to John, but since I'm trying to make a point about the lie perpetuated by many church leaders, I won't spin my wheels trying to extrapolate it. The bottom line is--since the Evangelicals believe trump is the impetus to bringing about the return of Christ--they are also acknowledging he is anti-Christ (Satan, the devil) because according to scripture, it is when Satan is loosed and most of us--Christian and non-Christian believe trump is the epitome of the anti-Christ because nothing he does--is Christ-like and certainly does not reflect his belief or willingness to do as Christ would do.

Now, many may argue my point and that is certainly their right, but I've never seen anyone as divisive, vile, and ego-driven as trump or his idolatrous worshipers who are filled with hateful bigotry. They are the ones who need to be concerned about the end since they will miss heaven. What they have overlooked is, there will be no "new Jerusalem" until all the old has been destroyed and at that time--there will be no need for walls or war--because the reference is to our lives in heaven.

I can't speak for every Born-Again believer who truly conducts themselves as followers of Christ, but I can speak for myself. I am appalled at the atrocity Evangelicals have instigated by lying to their flocks. They have misled and misdirected so many people into believing the lie that many are prepared to "kill others" because of their idolatrous worship of trump. But I am not their judge, God is--the God of heaven, not the god of this world who has deceived them and is now, laughing out loud at their folly. They may not see it, yet, and may not even see it before their demise, but it will be noted in the books of history and certainly noted in the records of heaven.

The Evangelicals in the 21st Century--are the contemporary Pharisees who are not interested in all developing and maintaining a life with Christ--doing good, but in controlling what people think and do. They have been deceived and are not willing to admit their mistakes and tell people the truth.
They don't have to tell people the truth; there are many of us who continue to tell the truth--Evangelicals have lied to their congregations and are apparently, tired of living. Well, since they're tired of living, they should effectuate their deaths and leave the rest of us alone. The end will come--but only when God decides, not them. But we have to give them credit where credit is due--their choice (not God's) in supporting trump is leading to the destruction of the earth and God will hold them accountable for that.

For the rest of us who are not tired of living, but have hope in the future and a desire for our children and grandchildren to enjoy the planet--we have work to do and we don't have time to wait for if we delay--for any reason--we perpetuate the nonsense being spewed by those Evangelicals who are tired of living. It is time to Resist the evil that confronts and unite to conquer the evil with love and compassion, driving out all the hate and bigotry.

Weeping For The Lost!

Jesus wept. John 11:35

Why did He weep? In the scriptural record, He wept because of the death of a friend--Lazarus--at least that's what we see on the surface.

If we delve a little deeper, we understand that He was not weeping because Lazarus was dead--He knew He would rise again--He wept because He loves us and knew that even though He was willing to give His life for us--some of us would be remain lost due to our refusal to accept Him and all He has done for us.

When Lazarus died--it was part of the plan to reveal who Jesus really is--and the power He holds over life and death. The religious leaders got it and feared Him. Though they claimed to serve God, they did not know Him and were simply going through religious traditions in order to make themselves feel superior.

Amazing how some of us still have a need to feel superior to others. We are not! We all live and breathe the same way (unless we're using artificial assistance) and our blood runs red--no matter what color our skin, no matter what our beliefs are--no matter what our gender is (male or female) and He loves us all! It is because of love that He wept then and is still weeping--because so many are lost and will never enter into heaven.

While journeying on earth, He told us, "No man (or woman) comes to the Father (who is in Heaven), except through Him." John 14:6 (explained) Until we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives and our personal Savior, we will never see The Father in Heaven.

And for that--He is still weeping--for all who are lost--in this world and in the world to come.
For those of us who are filled with the compassion of Christ, we also weep for the lost--both naturally and spiritually--knowing that those who died without having received His love will not get a second chance. We may weep in mourning for those who have died, but we can rejoice in the knowledge that if they had accepted Christ as their personal Savior, they will rise again to live with Jesus forever.

So, while we yet have a chance to turn to The Lord--repenting from sin and choosing to live according to His Word--let's do it and encourage others to live for Him so He won't have to continue weeping for them.

Where Are They?

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first .After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. I Thessalonians 4:13-18 NIV

If we truly want to comfort others when they lose a loved one--we should use God's Word--instead of our traditional responses that are not based upon truth.

Yesterday, someone told me (in a response to something I said about my deceased mother) our moms are watching over us. Now, I know this is a common response used by people to comfort others or themselves and if I did not know The Word, I'd buy into it. However, since I do know The Word and I know that, "the dead know nothing" I cannot promote an untruth based upon God's Word--not my opinion.

When I reminded the person about God's Word, I was told, "everyone has their own opinion and her mom was watching over her."

Here's the thing--everyone does have an opinion about so many things, but when it comes to the things of God--shouldn't we say what God says and not espouse our opinions? I am and will to the best of my ability always say what God says, even when it seems that I'm aloof or a bit cold. I am neither. I'm simply trying to do what I'm told--by God in His Word--and I'm breaking the chains of tradition wherever I find them. If people want to be misled and shackled to traditions--that's their option. I choose not to do so.

So, while I cannot put anyone in heaven who has gone before me--I cannot say with certainty where anyone is. I know--because of The Word--that when we die, our spirits go back to God who gave them, our bodies return to the dust from which it came and our soul awaits judgment (Ecclesiastes 12)--when Christ returns. I don't know when we'll rise after He returns or when we'll be judged, but I do know--when He returns--those who died in Christ--knowing Him--will rise first and we'll be taken up with them. Whether I'm here or not when Christ returns remains to be seen. I am assured of this one thing and so can others be--my mansion in heaven is reserved and one day--I shall inhabit it as promised in The Word.

I'm praying that soon we'll be able to tell people the truth and stop lying to them when a loved one dies. We cannot put them in heaven or hell--that's a judgment call that we cannot make for them--only God can--based upon their relationship (or none) with Him. As much as I'd like to believe my mother is watching over us--I know she's not and I'm okay with that. I hold her memories in my heart and soon in what I write. Whether I'll know her or not when we all get to heaven is not as important as knowing we'll be there--at the same time.

Instead of lying to people (and telling them someone has gone on to glory is a lie), let's comfort and encourage people with God's Word. "Though they sleep in death right now, when Christ returns, they shall rise first and we who are yet live shall join them."And while we wait for that glorious day, let's keep their memories alive in our hearts to enjoy them any time we want.

Holy Spirit Control!

"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:29-32 NKJV)

Whenever we hear foul-mouthed conversations in which every other word is profanity, we know Holy Spirit is not governing the person using the profanity. Whenever we see the end results of raging tempers--violence and death--we know Holy Spirit is not governing the person or persons involved. And usually, when one person demonstrates a lack of self-control, they engage or ignite the same type of reaction in others. The problem--people are too reliant upon their own self-control instead of allowing Holy Spirit to control what they say and do.

Submitting our thought-life and our tongues to Holy Spirit is not easy, but it is definitely a better path to take than depending upon our ability to control anything. What does it mean to submit our thought-life? It means that we stop thinking the thoughts that lead us astray. If the enemy tries to plant a thought in our minds that is not honoring God, we submit our response to Holy Spirit and allow Him to replace those thoughts with thoughts of righteousness.

Since most of us are fighting a constant battle with self-control, we are yet a work-in-progress. We have buttons that can be pushed and when we allow others to push them, we forget who we are and whose we are--to let others know, we are not a doormat. But do we really have to let others know anything other than we belong to God?

When we're attacked--verbally--we don't need to respond, but under stressful situations when frustration and agitation get in the way, we engage and the heat rises, sparking fires that sometimes rage out of control.

When we're attacked--physically--we have a right to defend ourselves (though some would argue this) and our families. We do not have a right to instigate foolishness that embroils others into "never-ending feuds" that do nothing but create hostile environments for all. This is especially true for kids who tend to get caught up in stupidity. If a brother or sister starts a fight with someone else--let them handle on their own. If more than one person attacks a sibling, then by all means, we should do our best to protect them.

However, when people do stupid--no matter who it is--family, friends and neighbors should stay out of the fray. I've seen entire neighborhoods destroyed because of stupid people who thought they had a right to treat people any way they wanted to treat them and then expect no response by those who are harmed. Those attacked call in reinforcements to counter the action and the feud mushrooms--out of control until someone ends up dead.

When Holy Spirit is "allowed" to control our thoughts--we don't think stupid-we think pleasing God. When our thought-life is controlled by Holy Spirit, then our tongues speak those things that build, encourage, and edify others. But Holy Spirit has to be allowed to control--He will not force us to do anything, and will allow us to think, say, or do anything we want to do. Of course when we do things that grieve Him, most of us know we need to repent, back up and give Him control so we don't bring shame upon ourselves and displease God.

Life would be so much better for everyone, all over the world, if we would just allow Holy Spirit to be in control of our lives.

Discipline Saves From Death!

"Discipline your children, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to their death. Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise." (Proverbs 19:18, 20 NIV)

Considering how the government attempts to intervene when parents discipline their children, it's no wonder we see foolishness that leads to violence and death--the death of children and of others.

We see such stupidity as the "knock-out" activity--where gangs of idiotic males find vulnerable older citizens to just "knock them out" just because. When young people have no respect for the elderly, it is a strong indicator that no discipline was ever employed in their homes. If they don't respect their parents, they are certainly not going to respect others. And every time the idiots are caught--their parents try to defend their action and the worst excuse in the world is--there was no father in the home.

Why was there no father in the home? Because someone forgot to discipline them when they were younger and many are locked behind bars or in morgues or cemeteries. The lack of discipline has a domino effect on many in our society and it tends to be a generational problem. However, even if a father is not in the home, mothers can and have been strong leaders in the home, when they care enough to teach their children right from wrong and live it as an example in front of them.

But there is another reason why discipline is lacking in so many homes. Many parents are afraid to discipline their children because of laws pertaining to corporal punishment. Children have been encouraged to "report" any act of corporal punishment because we have adult idiots who decided that if we spank a child, we damage their "emotional growth". Well, I'm against child abuse, but I'm a strong advocate for corporal punishment--as prescribed by God--using the rod (figuratively) of correction when needed.

There is a difference between beating a child and abusing them--breaking bones, putting them hospitals and causing death. I would never advocate abuse as a method of discipline. And I would never advocate using any method of scarring a child or doing anything that leads to death or disfigurement--ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN UNDER THREE YEARS-OLD. Tapping a child's hand lightly when they're doing something wrong usually gets their attention. But before anyone can try to discipline a child, they must take the time to teach the child--if after being taught right from wrong a child persists on doing wrong, then disciplinary measures must be established and used repeatedly to deter the negative behavior.

Generally speaking, most children who are disciplined at home before they start school, are wiser academically and never cause a teacher a problem (except for the transition years of puberty). When schools are limited in doling out consequences for misbehavior, students tend to try to rule the schools, and when they are tossed out the door, drop-out rates increase and the potential for poverty-stricken individuals increases. More poverty, more crime--more crime more jails and the cycle never ends--and it won't until we understand the necessity for appropriate discipline.

The wages of sin--the payment and end result is death. Though we don't often call misbehavior in kids, sin, it is and we should treat it as such, disciplining them to keep them from experiencing--unnecessary deaths.

We must teach them to accept responsibility for their actions and accept the consequences that ensue so they might live and others won't have to fear for their lives at the hands of undisciplined, out-of-control, people in this society. When we learn to obey God, we are wise; if we don't--we set ourselves up for failure.

God loves us enough to provide us instruction and consequences for actions. We need to love kids enough to provide them with sound, Godly instruction, and consequences for their actions and see them live to the full potential God has designed for them.

Encourage One Another With These Words!

"According to the Lord's Word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage one another with these words." (I Thessalonians 4:15-18 NIV)

On a subject that not many care to discuss, but should--death. There is one reality that all must face--we are born to die, unless the Lord returns before that event occurs. However, though there is a physical death, we can look forward to rising upon His return so that we will be with Him forever.

On a secular scale--most people simply see death as a natural occurrence--and it is. But for those of us who are living a Spirit-filled life, we know that physical death is simply part of the transition to getting into heaven.

For those who are truly Believers, death should never frighten us; especially if we have lived our lives to please God. While there are those around us who are dying daily, from sickness and disease, and we're praying--we should be mindful that when a person dies who has suffered pain and anguish, death is also a form of healing for when they are gone--their suffering ends. 

And while we miss loved ones who go before us--if they knew the Lord, we can be thankful that they, too shall reign with Him when He makes His glorious return.

For this reason--so all will rise at the sound of the trumpet and command--Believers should be a witness of God's mercy and grace, telling all they can the Good News about the work on the Cross. When we become saved--our job is just beginning--for the Lord would have all men to be saved and once we have accepted the sacrifice Jesus made for us and are living for Him, we should want everyone we know to know the Savior who loves us. And we should keep telling the good news until we reach the stage of our own transition.

Therefore, death as a conformity of life--should not be feared, nor should we spend time grieving over much for those who have made the transition, but we should rejoice in the knowledge that one day--they shall rise and reign with us, all with The Lord. Though our hearts may hurt for a time, our spirits should soar and heal the hurt--remembering all the good things and continuing to spread the Gospel until we are finished with earthly works.

While we yet have time to do so--and we must make the most of every hour we have--we need to share the love of God and encourage all to Believe in our Risen Savior so we won't have to be sad when they depart this earthly realm. We encourage others to get into The Word of God, develop a relationship with Him, and know that when we're gone--they will seek The Lord for comfort and be assured of our rising from the dead upon His return--before all who are left alive--whose hearts belong to Jesus.

Therefore, when we experience consoling someone who has lost a loved one or even if we lose a loved one, encourage all with these words--their end is not The End--if they know The Lord.

Before I Die, I'd Like To See...!

"Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." (Hebrews 9:27,28 NIV)

People have bucket lists of things they want to do before they reach their appointed time, and though I joyously await the return of my Savior, there are things that I would like "to see" before I die.

I'd like to see every person walking the earth, blinded to color, biases and hatred.

I'd like to see every parent become the parent that God wants them to be.

I'd like to see government returned to the hands of the people and those in charge, incorruptible, just and true.

I'd like to see children be respectful of every adult they meet and greet.

I'd like to see an end to foolish violence and endless deaths for no reason.

I'd like to see peace in every nation, where every child can live without fear.

I'd like to see every person who ever went to school or will go to school take education seriously, especially in the United States.

I'd like to see teachers given total autonomy to teach what they know and be treated like the professionals they are.

I'd like to see preachers preach The Word of God and not their opinions or their biases.

I'd like to see all of my family and friends saved before Jesus returns.

I'd like to see an end of poverty, hunger and illness.

I'd like to see people--caring about all human beings--ready to assist without hesitation.

I'd like to see an end to the need for planned parenthood and hidden agendas by all.

I'd like to see politicians who are honest and conduct themselves with integrity in all matters.

I'd like to see every person who desires to succeed have the means to do so.

I'd like to see an end to wars that do nothing but devastate families and countries alike.

I'd like to see purpose-driven people move mountains by faith in the One True God.

I'd like to see--clearly--senior citizens have an opportunity to live life until their end, without financial concerns, and respected for all they have done for most of their lives.

I'd like to see children be children and then raise their children, with knowledge and understanding of how God wants all to live.

I'd like to see our nation return--to the foundations the founding fathers laid--with firm beliefs and convictions--learned from The Word of God.

I'd like to see--all manner of wrongs righted and people given opportunities to get the wrongs, right--just as God gives us chance after chance.

I'd like to see what heaven will be like, right here on earth, before I depart.

I'd like to see so many things, that time will not allow me to tell, but before I die, I want everyone to know, whether I know you in the natural or not, I pray you'll receive the benefit of the work on the Cross and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and know Love as I know Love and am able to love you, unconditionally.

What Do The Dead Know?

"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even their name is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5 NIV)

There are two types of death inferred in this passage spoken by Solomon (paraphrased by me)--spiritual death and natural death.

Spiritually speaking--the spirit which God gives goes back to Him when we die a natural death and for some--we are comforted in the fact that our spirits live on until we are reunited with them when Christ returns.

But then there are those who are the "walking dead" whose spirits have never been energized with Holy Spirit infusion and though they live--in the natural--they are dead (not to sin as Believer become when we receive Holy Spirit), and they will not heed spiritual instructions about their lives or what they do. These have no hope of anything, but a fiery lake, created with Satan in mind, and all who follow him.

In the natural death of the Believer--their names are written in the book of life--and though their flesh decays and they return to the dust from which they came, their spirits live on in the minds of those who love them. Believers are dead to sin and choose to know nothing more about actively doing sin. While here on earth, they lived and hopefully made a positive difference in the lives of many--while directing them to the work on the cross. When they are gone--let them go--so they and you can know peace, for surely, if they did not belong to The Lord before they died, they will never know His mercy and grace after they die.

The walking dead--choose to do evil and promote evil. They are self-centered and selfish--their only concern in this life is what they want and they could care less about the impact their actions have on others. These are those who commit atrocious acts of violence against other human beings--for any reason--and then try to justify themselves. These are those who destroy hope in the lives of those who are hopeful. These are those who seek the praise and approval of man over the approval of God. These are those who stop at nothing to fulfill their desire to have what belongs to others. And dead they shall be for all eternity--spiritless, burning forever in the same torment by which they tormented others.

Life is for the living! And those who know The Lord shall be comforted by The Word in knowing that one day, we shall rise and reign with Him forevermore. While we're here, let's do all we can to make sure we do not become "the walking dead" with no hope for the dead--as we can see in the media all the time--know nothing.

One Thing!

"One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple." (Psalm 27:4 NIV)

In spite of all the things we may ask of God, while we are yet here on the planet, there is only one thing that I desire of Him, after death--to live with Him for all eternity.

No matter how many movies we see--lighting the way to heaven, seeing what actors do when they are supposedly in heaven, the reality is--after death--we know nothing (in the natural) and can certainly do nothing. I've often threatened to come back and haunt some folks if they don't follow my wishes when I die, but whatever they do--will no longer concern me when I'm dead. For The Word says, "the dead know nothing" and we should not promote them knowing anything.

However, when He returns, "even the dead in Christ shall rise, first and live forever" with Him for all eternity. But in order to get there, or be "in Him" before we die, we must obey Him and do what He says for us to do. If we do not know The Word, we certainly cannot obey The Word, so I implore you today, get to know The Word, obey The Word, and expect the One Thing you seek the most to happen--in heaven for all eternity.

Just In Case You Forgot!

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 NLT)

We all feel a certain sadness at the loss of a loved one; especially when they have died at the hands of the unbelieving for no particular reason--other than hatred. Remember this--they are not lost to us forever. When Jesus returns (and He will), those believers who have gone before His return shall rise from their graves and we who still believe, shall rise with them in the air and remain with The Lord forever! Hallelujah!  Glory to our God! Man may stop our blood from flowing earth in the earth realm for a season, but our God, who never lies and is faithful to His Word, shall give us a glorified body, filled with His living Spirit and we shall live and reign with Him for all eternity!

No, all is not lost! God will repay all those who have rejected Him, scorned His Word, and killed the body of those who profess their belief in Him.  No, there is no reward in heaven for those who are bloodthirsty, lawless, and full of hate. There is a consequence for those who defy God and it is not a consequence anyone will be able to bear.  God has promised that "all" will receive the appropriate consequence for everything they have done--every act committed--and for many--it will be too late for them to change their minds.

Hell awaits those who will join the devil--the evil one--in the lake of fire which will burn for all eternity. Nothing, by any means shall deter our God from keeping His promises and we who know--can comfort and encourage the hearts of other believers to not be dismayed with current events, but rather look forward to His return.

So, just in case you forgot--remember these words--He will return and all believers will be with Him, forever!

An Open Prayer For All!

"But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love" (I John 4:8 NLT).

If we say we love God, we should know how to love others--not hate.
When we allow hate to replace love in our hearts, we do not honor God.
For all who hate-others and God--this prayer is for you!

Father, in the name of Jesus,
I pray that You will move upon hearts today
Speaking love, In a very special way.
I pray for those who hate others because of political affiliations.
I pray for those who hate others because of ethnic origins and race.
I pray for those who hate others because they are gay or straight.
I pray for those who hate teachers, preachers, accountants, and lawyers,
And any other career or skill set they do not have.
I pray for those who hate because of their feelings of superiority about themselves,
And for those who hate because of their feelings of inferiority against themselves.
I pray for those who hate others because they are Muslim or Christian,
Catholic, Jew, Gentile, Buddhist, Baptist, Pentecostal, or whatever faith they proclaim.
I pray for those who hate because of some are male or female.
I pray for those who hate children and women, men and themselves.
I pray for those who hate redheads, blondes, brunettes, and raven-haired,
For those who hate others because they have straight, curly, kinky hair, long hair, short, and no hair.
I pray for those who hate others because of their height or girth, their humor or lack of one
I pray for those who hate because some have too many children and some have none.
I pray for those who hate all who don't agree with them and for those who hate because they cannot agree with anyone.
I pray for those who disdain others because of their imperfections and flaws
Not seeing themselves because if they did, they would see and know their own imperfectness.
I pray for those who hate any living thing because so much hatred abides within their heart.
Lord, I ask You to cleanse the hatred from their hearts, and replace it with the abundance of love
You give to all who will receive it and allow it to overflow from them onto others.
Lord, for when You fill hearts with Love, and we learn to Love like You love,
The violence will cease and we can all live in peace.
All this I ask and believe we will receive it in the name of Jesus,
And according to Your Word, whatever we ask in Your Son's name will be given.

Salt-Soddened Heart!

My heart is crying, overwhelmed with life
Watching the suffering of many, the constant strife
Between others--mothers, and children, husbands and wives
Nation against nation, no one carrying about the lives
Of people who feel--misery and pain,
Lost, with no more to lose and nothing else to gain,
The salt seeps into each muscle and tendon,
Navigating its way through each ventricle and back,
Saturating all the tissue which holds the emotions
In check, no longer able to reasonably resist
Giving in to those thoughts and feelings that created
The mess of lives and nations galore,
My heart is crying, deeply saddened and sodden
By all the salt--meant to preserve, but now burns
As I watch how one thing after the other turns,
Into chaos and confusion!
My heart is crying!

Choices and Consequences!

"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live..."(Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV).

To be blessed or be cursed--is a choice we make--based upon our decisions.
We either choose life--being obedient in all that God says, or we choose death, being cursed--when we disobey.

In the life of a true believer--the choice is simple. We understand the blessings of obedience and the consequences of disobedience. When we know God through our relationship with Him--nothing that happens in life is a surprise. We know we are either blessed or cursed and we know we are the ones who choose whether we are blessed or cursed.

Today, a decision has to be made that will affect the rest of our lives and the lives of our children. We must exercise wisdom in all things and know that God has established a credible witness (Holy Spirit) who will testify to what He sees and hears. We cannot fool God--we can only fool people and that for only a short period of time. The truth will always be revealed--when we least expect it--the lies shall be uncovered for all the world to see. Shed the cloak of deception and drape the garment of righteousness around you and those you love--choose life and be blessed!

Leave no room--in your heart or mind--for the enemy to continue to influence your thoughts and what you do. Time is not manipulated by us, but controlled by God. We have been given another chance to get it right--let's do it, today!

Father, in the name of Jesus, help us to understand that we must obey Your Word, even when it goes against the grain of popular opinion or political correctness. It is Your Word that gives us life and puts us into position to be blessed by You. Give us the strength to stand against the winds of adversity--fully focused on doing Your Will and not our own. We declare all works of the enemy void and powerless in our lives and it is done! Amen!

While I Live!

"For in death [there is] no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?"(Psalm 6:5)

While I live, I will give You thanks and praise You each and every day!
While I live, I will tell others of Your goodness and mercy and love!
While I live, I will trust You to provide my every need!
While I live, I will train my children and grandchildren in the ways of The Lord!
While I live, I will be a living testimony, proof of Your mercy, grace, and love!
While I live, I will do all that You would have me to do or say!
While I live, While I live, for when I am dead, there is no turning back the hands of time to do or say anything.  While I live, I look forward to an expected end to spend it with You for all eternity.  While I live!
