It's About Our Democracy!

For a number of weeks now, I've been trying to encourage voters every where to Vote Blue--for a Democrat! It's about saving our Democracy from those who would attempt to deprive us of our rights as American Citizens per the constitution. How will they do it? If Republicans remain in control of government, the plan--a not so well kept secret is to rewrite the Constitution and they have the financial means to do it--with the Koch Brothers millions.

And does anyone know why Rand Paul was in Russia this past weekend? Call him and ask him why he invited the Russians to America. Of course he'll lie, but ask him anyway. In fact there were a number of Republicans who visited Russia on our Independence Day this year and they came back, all rejecting the vote to protect our elections from hacking. I wonder why.

Tomorrow, in Michigan and in other states, we have an opportunity to make a difference for everyone--not just the rich and illiterate. We can vote Blue for every Democrat on a ballot (in one role of course) and encourage our family and friends to do likewise. If we don't take control of the House and Senate in November, we will open the door for a dictatorship--nullifying Democracy in America. Please, pay attention and know what's going on in government that will impact all of our lives.

Now is the time, Michigan! Vote for the one person who actually has demonstrated leadership and legislative experience--in Michigan, not in other states. Gretchen Whitmer is the only choice we have to guarantee a better life for all in Michigan and she'll fight for us on a national level as well. Voting Blue for down ballot will ensure she has the full house she'll need to get it done.

If not now--we may never have another chance!

Think about this for a minute before casting your vote tomorrow. One of the democratic candidates is a recent resident of Michigan, who has no known democratic ties anywhere. Another one is touting being a doctor, but not licensed to practice medicine in Michigan and very little is known about his "Democrat" experience, and both of these candidates have so little to say about themselves they have attacked the proven Democrat--Gretchen Whitmer!

I really don't have the kind of time I need to make this point clearer, but let's be realistic, now is not the time to play footloose and fancy free with out votes out of ignorance or frustration. Now is the time to vote for the one candidate who can beat Bill Schuette or any other Republican. Now is the time for Michiganders to take a firm stand against racism and bigotry of all kinds. Now is the time for Michiganders to fight for the rights of all people; especially for our children and their rights to a quality education, clean water, and job opportunities that pay a living wage. This is our fight and I'm ready for it! Are you?

Demolition of American Democracy!

The definition of "democracy" is simple or at least the intent was simple--a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system (dictionary.com). 

Let me try to break this down--the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.  Supreme power means the people have the last say over what happens in our government. Of course, that ability has been hampered by the Russian attack on our electoral process with their propagation of false/misleading/disinformation to a very gullible, frustrated group of Americans. Their frustration led them to believe that a person with multiple bankruptcies and billions in outstanding debt was a good businessman. Actually, it was more about their hatred of a strong, intelligent woman that sent them over the edge and they gambled on the pathological liar who claimed he'd look after them. The only person he's looked after is the rich and corporations who want to pollute the earth in pursuit of greed by destroying the environment with fracking and decimating the wildlife and tourism. That's how he's looking after folks.

But I don't want to get too far ahead of myself. When a foreign entity attacks the electoral process in favor of the incompetent, easily manipulated pathological liar and the "freely elected" (Russian interference) person in the White House proves, he's going to do whatever Putin says, that's not a free election. We have discovered since the 2016 election that various means of voter suppression took place in the swing states, from broken machines to fraudulent voter purging. It would appear that in every state where the person in charge of the election board was a Republican--there was proof that the "free election" did not take place. If the people don't have Supreme power (unhindered by interference) there can be no government by the people for the people.

In fact, since we know Traitor Don's biggest fear is in having to admit his presidency is not legitimate, the reason the Republicans won't rein him in is because their election is also suspect--the reason we have a majority of Republicans in both houses of Congress is due to the Russian attack on our electoral system.

Now, we know from the "Helsinki Summit" (or rather the Hell sinking summit), that Putin admitted he wanted trump to win and that he deliberately influenced the election to get the result he wanted. But in another trumpian move--the White House has "erased" from the video of the press conference the comments Putin made. I'm guessing because he thinks we're all stupid and will forget what we heard. And to make sure there is NO transparency in the White House between trump and other foreign (dictators) leaders is because they decided not to provide the public or Congress with any read-outs of the phone calls. Does that sound like a person with nothing to hide? Of course! He has a great deal to hide and he's so foolish that he doesn't realize all of his moves to obfuscate the truth, just gives Mueller more ammunition to use against him.

This defies all logic and precedents set regarding not only the protection of the resident in the WH, but in offering transparency to the public that elected them.

And now, Traitor Don wants to turn over Americans to be interrogated by Vladmir Putin simply because they openly criticize him. That's the move of a dictator--once again. He has constantly called the media, "Fake News" because they tell the truth and just yesterday, he told the audience at a VFM convention, "don't believe what you see or read. It's not what's happening." In actuality, what we see and hear from media with integrity is exactly what's happening and some (rogues in the WH) have confirmed everything. The only media outlets not telling the truth are Fox News, Breitbart, Sinclair Broadcasting and other right-wing radio shows. Christian broadcaster and conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles is back with even more rightwing lunacy. This time, he’s claiming MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow, an out lesbian, will lead a coup against President Donald Trump.

Even worse, it’s in a few hours and we’re gonna have to throw together an outfit at the last minute. What’s black and goes with decapitation?
“America, you’ve been homosexualized. You’ve been Jewdy-ized. I’m just telling it how it is,” Wiles told viewers. “She was spewing out, last night, calls for revolution. She was telling the left, ‘Take a deep breath, we’re at the moment, it’s coming, we’re almost there, we’re going to remove him from the White House.’ We’re about 72 hours — possibly 72 hours — from a coup.
“Be prepared that you’re going to turn on the television and see helicopters hovering over the roof of the White House with men clad in black rappelling down ropes, entering into the White House. Be prepared for a shoot out in the White House as Secret Service agents shoot commandos coming in to arrest President Trump.”
But Wiles wasn’t finished with his hysterical anti-semitism and homophobia.
“That is how close we are to a revolution. Be prepared for a mob — a leftist mob — to tear down the gates, the fence at the White House and to go into the White House and to drag him out with his family and decapitate them on the lawn of the White House,” he said.

And of course, his gullible base believes every stupid thing the ignorant oafs say. Trying to talk to trump supporters just to get them to think for themselves is a total waste of time. They are not interested in facts or logic and only spew trump talking points like parrots.

George Orwell warned all of humanity in his book, "1984" what would happen when, "the party tells you not to believe what your eyes see or your ears hear." We have entered into a phase of authoritarianism and trump supporters don't seem to care. They evidently like the idea of a dictator ruling over them. Of course, he's already doing that since he's manipulating their ability to think and act.

But let's not forget one important salient fact. When trump side by side to a known adversary to America, he took the side of the adversary over American Intelligence Agencies. That is treason and until the complicit GOP Congress finds their balls or develops a spine (not sure which is harder for them to do), we're on a downward spiral in seeing the demolition of American democracy.

Now, for all of you who might disagree with me--go ahead. But look for the evidence yourself of what I'm saying. Innocent people don't try to hide what they do. Innocent people don't keep screaming about their innocence. Innocent people don't blame others for their shortcomings and incompetence. Innocent people don't try to impede an investigation against them. Only guilty people do all of this--because they have something to hide and don't want to be publicly exposed for all their wrongdoing and that includes--this illegitimate election.

Those who refuse to think for themselves and rise up against the tyranny that faces this country are complicit in the fall of our democracy. There's no need to complain--if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

By the way, nothing in this blog is new--I've said it all before and if you don't believe, check out some of my earlier blogs. This warning has been out there for a long time now. But all I got for my effort was admonitions from people trying to convince me I was wrong about trump. I've proven and time has proven, I was right. Trump is the biggest disaster to hit the American shores and he'll destroy everything America once stood for in his effort to be something he is not.

Although we know that Jesus was talking to the Jews who had a problem believing who He was, we also know that those words ring very true today. Liars are influenced by the devil, the truth is foreign to all pathological liars and until we are willing to speak truth and accept truth, we remain in bondage to doing the devil's bidding.

I think it's about time--everyone woke up--and started speaking the truth about daily news events and the threat hanging over us with Russia's asset in the White House. I have been saying this for over a year and some have chosen to stop following me and that is certainly their right. I will continue to speak the truth as I see it. donald trump is a Russian asset; he has been used to dismantle American democracy and we can see the effects on a daily basis with the attacks on the media, on people of color, and even on those elected officials in Congress. Whether there are those who want to admit they made a mistake by supporting trump or not is totally irrelevant. If American democracy is to be sustained, we must all speak truth to power and keep speaking it until it sinks in and when or if it doesn't, we must all be prepared to fight to save our Constitutional freedoms by voting blue in every election across the nation!

As Jesus told the Jews, the reason many won't hear my voice or the voice of others who consistently speak truth about trump is because they do not want to hear truth and they are following the dictates of the devil. It doesn't matter whether those who refuse to hear and accept truth call themselves Christians or not. If they refuse to hear and speak truth, it's because they are not "Bible Christians" but conservative Christians who are in essence--false Christians. I am a Bible Christian and I will speak truth and if people choose to hear it, great, if not--great. I will be held accountable for what I do--and they will be held accountable for what they do. I will speak truth and speak truth, shaming the devil. By the way, the title of this blog is reflective of what I've heard a number of preachers say, "tell the truth and shame the devil." It is appropriate at this time and place in our history. We must tell the truth--the world sees and recognizes the truth and they're judging the rest of us as to whether or not--we will. Russia has an asset in the WH and his name is donald trump.

For instance, the special counsel that trump keeps trying to impugn (along with a number of republican congressmen) is not conducting a witch hunt (and if they are--they're finding witches with all the indictments). The "witch hunt" theory is simply smoke and mirrors propaganda, designed to keep his base from hearing the truth. It's a tactic also used by other dictators--along with maligning the press--especially those who print and broadcast truth. The devil is afraid of truth, which is why he tries so hard to keep people from hearing the truth. For if people heard truth and spoke truth, the devil would be out of business and peace would be possible on earth--in all countries.

Another tactic being used to erode truth is the misleading information about the Democratic Party--created by the GOP to malign Democrats. There is propaganda being spread all over the Internet via blogs, ads, and videos--produced by conservative entities that are determined to suppress the vote--especially the vote of the Black Community. If anyone in the Black Community has succumbed to the GOP lies, it's time they woke up to truth--the truth is that Republicans don't want you to vote unless you side with them. And the reason they want you to side with them is so they can--call a Constitutional Convention, rewrite the Constitution, and take away the rights of all people of color and women. Don't believe me--do some research for yourself. This is all part of the plan to allow the United States of America to slide into tyranny. Look at the imbalance of power that exists and know that if Republicans remain in control of all branches of government, there will only be a dictatorship governing.

Look, this is not about abortion rights and religious freedom as those "conservative (false) Christians would have people to believe--this is about our democracy--about putting country before political party. If we don't, we all suffer the consequences and none of us will survive the outcome for long. We already see increased cost at gas pumps, transportation of food and goods, and in October--the increase in healthcare insurance will be more than many of us can afford--all because of party partisanship that cares not one whit about the people. The fact that elected officials have lined their own pockets and bank accounts is the fault of those who voted for them without paying attention to their open agenda--they did not hide their agenda, but they were counting on people to put political party before what's best for the country. And here we are!

However, just because we're here--facing the possibility of seeing the demise of American freedoms, we don't have to let it happen. The only way we can stop what's happening right now is get out and vote and vote Blue--No Matter Who! We have to vote Blue in every local, state--primary and general election to get America back on track to sustain our Democracy. If we fail to do that--this November 6, 2018--we may never get a chance to vote again. Again, don't believe me--do some research and determine the agenda that trump is pushing in order to give Putin the advantage over America. I will never stop fighting to keep our Democracy strong and to keep a dictator from running rough shod over all.

In Michigan--for our primary on 8/7/18--vote for Gretchen Whitmer for Governor and Dana Nessel for Attorney General and Ellen Lipton for CD09 and Kristina Lodovisi for state Senator.  In November--Vote Blue--again for Gretchen, Dana and all other Democrats on the ballot. For Supreme Court Judges--vote for Sam Bagenstos and Megan Cavanaugh to balance decision-making.  Don't allow GOP tactics to keep you under the thumb of a rising dictator in America.

Across this great nation on November 6, 2018 rise up and vote in numbers never thought of before and make your voices heard--We Do Not Want A Dictator ruling this country--so Vote Blue--No Matter Who--across the land.

 

Caught Up in Idolatry!

For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. How do people get caught up in idolatry? When they allow themselves to think more of mere human beings or things than they reverence God, they have sunk to the depths of idolatry--worshiping the created things more than the Creator.

How do we know who is caught up in idolatry? When we see people revere another person more than they revere God and actually proclaim God has directed them to do so--they are caught up idolatry.

I've seen a number of posts on social media in which people now have regrets about the election results. One pastor admitted they got caught up in the glare of what seemed to be and didn't realize what was. They thought a businessman who knew how to make money would be a better choice for the country and now see the error in their thinking. He said, "We prayed for God to anoint the one we chose instead of praying for God to direct us to the right person." Now, in the aftermath, prayers are being made that God will undo, what men did--because they were caught up in idolizing a mere human being.  And some are still praying for 45's salvation, when that should have been established before anyone supported him--if they truly wanted a Christian in office.

People have been so blinded by the proclamation that God chose 45, they refused to see all the warning signals and would not hear the alarms sounded by those whose vision was clear and their ears unstopped. They overlooked the fact that a pathological liar was running around doing what liars do--lie--about everything. They overlooked the fact that a vengeful, hate-mongering xenophobic was stirring up hatred and fear to "show everybody" what he could do.

Now that he has won an election--by hook and crook with all the lies, false propaganda and Russian interference with hacking, he has to constantly remind everyone that he won--every time he opens his mouth--guilt coating every word for those who are spiritually discerning. For if we are not able to spiritually discern what is unfolding before our eyes, we will be caught unaware and be tempted to do as the others.

God sees all and knows all and He will not be mocked by anyone proclaiming to be a Christian when they are not. We can quote the bible, go to a building for "church services," and even act like we know God, but if Christ does not reign in our hearts, and we cannot show compassion and love for all others--we do not belong to Him and we lie. For the lies people are living, the truth is being exposed and yet--those caught up in idolatry refuse to see what it is right in front of them. By the time the scales fall from their eyes, the country may be in such dismal shape, it will take years for America to recover. And while America is in the throes of recovering her status with the world, the world has moved on--without us--leaving us to fend for ourselves in the face of the inside danger--emanating from Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller--the architects of the destruction of government as we know it.

For those in right relationship with God and know how He does things--with truth always at the forefront--we have nothing to fear for our God is faithful and He will deliver us from the hands of the wicked and the wicked shall be punished.

So, don't get caught in the noise that sounds like a victory and the rallying cries. The victory is hollow and based on lies and the rallying cries--designed to stroke the egos of those who know--they have not earned the position in which they stand. People who know they are loved, need not travel the country looking for adulation (those idolizing them). Applauding ineptness and mentally instability while not acknowledging it--is idolatry.

When the truth is unveiled and the cowards in Congress develop a backbone or at least grow a pair--the world will see what many of us already see--his orangeness is but a bumbling buffoon who has laughed at all those he's duped into believing he cares about America.

What Have We Done?

Hear the word of the LORD, you Israelites, because the LORD has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: “There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land dries up, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the fish in the sea are swept away. “But let no one bring a charge, let no one accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest. You stumble day and night, and the prophets stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother— my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. The more priests there were, the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their glorious God for something disgraceful.  Hosea 4:1-7 NIV

Do we not pay attention to the past--the history that is written or told--the events in life that destroyed, both the young and the old?

Did we not know how lies and falsehoods tend to overtake truth when truth is not repeatedly told and then evil influence rises higher than mountains, more destructive than swelling seas?

Were we not looking at how nations--once great civilizations--now no longer exist and if we noticed, did we not understand that if we do not learn from history--and the mistakes made--we are doomed to repeat it?

From the despicable Nero to Hitler and others--all with a mindset to rule--single-handedly, dictators and despots--destroying lives with lies and propaganda designed to make them look better when actually they were the worst of human nature. Did we not know that evil permeates the minds of those who are vulnerable and gullible and look to men instead of God for truth and then we have a mess on our hands that man cannot fix?

Narcissistic natures who tend to be megalomaniacs have a pathological tendency to lie and lie and lie and will say anything to convince others they are the only ones who are right and yet they are truly wrong and will destroy and convince others to join them in the destruction of mankind. Were we not paying attention or did we think we were so spiritually deep we did not need to pay attention? See how the enemy plays with the minds of those in leadership, enticing them to believe lies--though they have ears to hear--they do not listen to God.

And because those in leadership have failed to hear God and say what He says, about all things, we now enter a stage or phase that some will not survive--because of the lies promoted just to control the masses and now the masses will decrease in numbers until the only ones left are those the devil will engulf in the flames they lit.

What have we done? If we haven't figured it out--we need but to keep watching and listening and then doing nothing for the bottom will fall and all hopes crumble because we were too foolish to pray and humble ourselves--obeying God only, not man.

Is it too late to undo what we've done? God alone has the answer and now we will see just how many have the courage and boldness to hear Him when He speaks and do what He says, willing to move mountains to turn things around, so all will have an opportunity to prosper and thrive under the leadership of one who at least "hears and honors God" when He speaks.

Lord,

You said if Your people would humble themselves and pray, seek Your face, repent of their wicked ways, You would hear from heaven and heal the land. We humbly ask You to forgive us for thinking we did not need Your direction in all we do; especially in this election. Cover us with Your mercy, truth and grace and allow those who truly love You to provide remedy and relief so others won't suffer needlessly because Your elect leaders failed to tell people the truth.  You are the only wise God and we seek You to make a way out of this situation before there is no room for repentance by all involved in the travesty we see unfolding on a daily basis. You know our hearts and thoughts from afar and now we ask You to speak to the hearts of those who are willing to hear You and reset this course of destruction back on the path of Your divine instruction. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen!

Being Full of the Holy Spirit!

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’” The devil led him up to a high place and  showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Luke 4:1-13 NIV

In order to resist the temptation served up by the devil, we have to be full of Holy Spirit, with a heart to hear and obey Him, rather than the dictates of our flesh.

Now, all who have eyes and are being led by Holy Spirit can see through the devil's lies and all of the promises made are crumbling for all the world to see.

God knows our hearts and our motivations. Since He is love, He abhors hate-mongering and fear-mongering and we know--with all the hate demonstrated in this country, that it was the devil who offered the temptation of change through a narcissistic, fear-mongering demon and those who didn't have the spiritual discernment to see it, fell for the smooth talking snake-oil salesman.

But of course there was a specific group targeted to engage their loyalty--the low-educated and the ill-informed--the gullible and it worked. Now, though their hatred of all people who don't look like them was their driving force, they are seeing and will see even more why they were misled.

The media became a pawn in the game of the enemy and he played them like a finely tuned fiddle. Free coverage--never spending his money because that's not his style.

The tax cuts won't help anyone who isn't rich. Another lie perpetuated by the enemy.

The wall won't be built unless the haters volunteer their time to build it and that will be the extent of the jobs provided--manual labor--for their savior knows they don't have the educational ability to do anything beyond that. How do we know? He held a baby in his hands and declared, "he looks like a construction worker," pronouncing the expectation as though that's all the baby can ever hope for.

And for those poor folks who think didn't have healthcare before the Affordable Care Act, they'll be back to square one because no one has a better plan to put in its place.

I've concluded because of what The Lord is showing me that buyer's remorse is rising faster than flood waters and the regret is already real and he has not even been sworn into office. His lawyers are handling the 75 pending lawsuits while he's avoiding any press coverage. And why is he not allowing the press to travel with him? He doesn't want any of his true thoughts and conversations to expose him for the devil he really is. The dictator he plans to be.

And the biggest group who fell for the lies--the Evangelical group who was more concerned about party than country. I'm sure they are really proud of themselves for pushing the enemy down people's throats. If people thought church attendance was bad, they will see--soon enough--the real decimation of trust betrayed. If the church lies to people because they believed the lie--how disappointed is God in those He trusted to hear and obey Him? 

Based upon His Word, I can only conclude that they were not filled with Holy Spirit and therefore did not have the power to resist temptation--the temptation to "have authority over people with Supreme Court Appointments." They forgot, the only authority over anyone's life should be God, not people. But they didn't trust God, to be God!

I will hear and obey and do all within my ability and in His strength to help turn the tide of hatred and bigotry and overt racism that now flows freely, unhinged because Americans elected a madman--who only wants to benefit himself.

So renew a right relationship with God and be filled to overflowing with His Spirit so you can see things through spiritual eyes and not allow the dictates of the flesh to blind you. My hope is in Jesus Christ and I will not be tempted by delusions of grandeur and having authority, not rightfully mine. I will continue to write and say what God is saying to my heart until He returns or I can no longer type.

What's Next?

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words. With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life. Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng. Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death. Proverbs 7:4,5; 21-27 NIV

No matter how many times it said, many refuse to listen to the wisdom that resides in the pages of the book of Proverbs.

Wisdom--usually referred to with a female pronoun throughout The Word--is compared to "an adulterous woman" (not so wise) in this passage,  one who has no integrity, scruples or values. To keep this all in context, one must read the entire seventh chapter. However, if we look beyond the pronoun reference and see the character traits of the adulterer, we see how all of this connects and is applicable to daily lives--especially in the political arena.

Let me see if I could put this into perspective--based on the facts as they are revealed. The male pronoun reference embellishes the character traits of a person who is gullible and easily manipulated. The warning against the adulterous woman is to make sure all understand that manipulators use enticing words, playing to a person's weaknesses and desires and will offer whatever they want--in order to get what they want. Of course, if a person is gullible and easily manipulated--because of a lack of knowledge--they will believe and follow the manipulator--and end up traveling the path of destruction--by their own choices.

We have two choices--one not much better than the other--but choices nonetheless. We must choose between a blustery, dictatorial, narcissistic, bigoted, hate and fearmonger who doesn't have a clue about how much of anything works outside his own delusions of grandeur. One who backpedals on a daily basis, and doesn't feel he has to play the game by the rules and when people disagree with him--watch out for vitriol--as he attempts to bully by intimidation.

And the other choice--someone who has been proven to not always tell the complete truth--(though all politicians lie) and for some--as they see it--refuses to take responsibility for her actions. Though she has been cleared of wrongdoing in two major investigations--Benghazi and the email probe--opponents refuse to let her "carelessness" go. Okay, so she was careless--or stupid--but unfortunately, stupidity is not a crime or more people would be locked up and then there wouldn't be anyone eligible to run for any public office--especially in this election cycle.

What I don't understand is why--anyone would choose a man who has openly stated that his daughter is so beautiful that if he wasn't married, he'd date her. That statement sent warning signals to me--especially in light of his inflated ego and view of self. Does he really think it was appropriate to admit he'd like to sleep with his daughter? Why would anyone want a man in the position of President of the United States--who praises the likes of those who hate and kill--indiscriminately? And then there are other pending lawsuits that, if ever revealed, will expose the true nature and character of a child molester.But then I guess the answer is in his enticing words (not necessarily truth)--intended to ignite and promote hatred of others while making himself appear more capable and knowledge than he is.  He is his best publicist for not many others have said anything about his greatness or his wealth.

I'm still praying for all Americans who will be voting this fall. And for those who think I've gone overboard with what I have to say about the election and applicability of God's Word, you're entitled to think whatever you like. I've learned to respect people who disagree with me without trying to tear them down for doing so. If that same courtesy is not extended to me--God's got my back. I'm especially praying for those Evangelical leaders who are deliberately leading people down a garden path--not of God--but out of fear, proving they do not trust God. Fearmongering works best when a candidate has nothing of substance to say about the real issues--that affect all Americans. Where love resides, there's room in the heart for fear!

Until we realize we all--black, white, yellow, brown, red--Believers of Christ and non-believers, gay, straight, male or female--belong to the human race and we should all be treated with love and compassion as Jesus would do. So what happens next? That depends on how open hearts are to hearing Holy Spirit speak--even when it means putting aside political ideologies that ignite hatred and bigotry. God knows best and in the end--it will all be as He planned it.

Accepting Advice!

Listen to advice and accept discipline and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Proverbs 19:20 NIV

To whom should we accept advice? Not every person to whom we run with a problem is a problem-solver, but they are problem-causers and we know this by their conduct.

Some people--are problem causers--they spread gossip faster than the wind creates havoc in a storm and the results are just as deadly. The intent is to create a hostile environment in which they think they will be victorious, not realizing that they are simply exposing their true character.

The problem-causers have not solved problems, but created them and they tend to think they are a great source of counsel--wanting attention from everyone--when in fact they need to be counseled. They do not want advice because they think they are great advisers and they resent any attempt by anyone to point them in the right direction.

Problem-solvers analyze information and events and research solutions that will benefit all; they have demonstrated ability and integrity in all they do and have no need to seek any glory for themselves.

Before we accept advice from people we must consider the source. Can this person (or people) provide wise counsel and direction if they do not demonstrate knowledge of such?
In this society--we elect a president of the United States based upon their ability to get the job done--not how much they know, but their willingness to heed wise counsel in making decisions. Therefore, every elected president of the United States must choose a cabinet of advisers who know what they're doing.

On a smaller scale--anyone in a position of leadership should know to seek sound advice and to listen to it. When they're headed in the wrong direction, they should be willing to hear and change course, based upon the sound advice.

One of the biggest mistakes people make--on almost any level--is putting unqualified people in qualified positions of leadership.

The most effective leader in any given situation is not the one who assumes the position to make something of themselves, but the one who is more concerned about the entire purpose or mission of the organization. They do not dictate what others should do--they facilitate joint agreement and progress.

Dictators are small-minded people (and many are short in stature) who think they have a right to "tell" others what to do rather than seek agreement about what needs to be done. They are quick to draw conclusions without sufficient evidence and just as quick to manipulate the truth in order to garner support for their position (when they shouldn't have a position or side to take). We see this in the behavior of Hitler, Stalin, and Napoleon--from a historical perspective.

So let's listen to those who have demonstrated an ability to know what they're talking about and when we're wrong--let's just accept the corrective counsel and seek to do better. It is only when we admit what we don't know and accept wise counsel that we too, will be considered wise.

Leader or Dictator?

"Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you." {Hebrews 13:17 NIV)

Having confidence in leaders who care about those they lead is easy when their leadership ability is evident. However, not everyone in a leadership position is a true leader, as defined by The Word.

People in leadership positions, enabled by God as His appointed ones--seek His wisdom in all decisions and never do things that cause the people they lead grief. Dictators cause grief because the only person they care about is them and their own agenda, not what is best for the people. They seek the counsel of those who are like-minded--greedy for power, not understanding that most dictators are not loved, but hated.

What is sad to me is that many people in leadership positions--don't understand the role in which they find themselves. A true leader--takes the initiative in understanding exactly what their role is and in finding ways to enhance what they do to enhance the benefit of all they lead. They seek Godly counsel in all matters before making decisions that would harm anyone. They are facilitators, not dictators because they seek input from all involved and encourage involvement by all in making decisions. True leaders--do not attempt to abuse or misuse their positions nor do they manipulate others, abusing the authority they have been given.

But the one thing that most "hired help" forget is just like they were hired to fulfill a position of leadership, they can be fired from it and usually are when they abuse the authority of the position.

I'm sure we all know such leaders--they come in all forms and capacities. They are the leaders in the police departments, the leaders in school districts, the leaders in churches, and the leaders in corporations--all hired and all should be fired when they do not know how to lead, and choose to dictate to others--with no regard as to what is best for the people they lead.

The Word of God tells us to pray for those in authority over us and I do. However, we are not told to just lay down and allow hired help to walk all over us. We must take action and they must realize their position is tenuous at best--especially if they develop dictator mentality.

One of the saddest things to see is a leader who professes to know God, get high-minded and abuse their positions, becoming dictators and not leaders.

When should we have confidence in leadership? When the leadership has earned our confidence as demonstrated in their ability to lead--with the best interest of those they lead--then we can confidently follow their example. If they are incapable of demonstrating ability to lead, we should not follow them blindly because the blind leading the blind, usually end up in a rut, going nowhere.

Pray for leadership and when it is necessary to act when they demonstrate their inability to lead, get up and get busy, doing all that is necessary to remove them to save all from becoming victims of dictatorship.
