The Lord In The Midst!

A psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23 NIV
It is The Lord who should be guiding us in all we do, not a man or a woman--those who are mere mortals.

It is The Lord who gives us courage to do all we need to do or say.

It is The Lord who strengthens us to stand against the evil that so easily pervades a nation.

It is The Lord who has determined that goodness and love will follow us all the days of our lives.

It is The Lord who speaks through us when we speak truth to power for He is truth.

It is The Lord who gave Himself as a sacrifice for all mankind--not any man or woman--those mere mortals.

It is The Lord who will save us and not us in the midst of all the foolishness and chaos.

It is The Lord who walks with us and talks with us when no one else is around, guiding us to His Word.

It is The Lord who will ultimately see all the wrong righted and the evil defeated by whatever name it sows discord.

It is The Lord who will determine our eternal resting place--be it heaven or the lake of fire--based upon what we do, not what others do.

It is The Lord who will guide all who have a heart to hear Him and obey.

When The Lord is in the midst of our plans, He will bring it to pass.

Who is The Lord? He is the God of Heaven, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit walking in lockstep, watching all we do, hearing all we say, and loving us no matter what, yet correcting us when we disobey or miss the path He has designed for us.

The Lord is truth and light and there is no darkness in Him.

The Lord abhors lies and liars and has prepared the lake of fire for all who lie.

The Lord does not force His Will upon anyone, but allows us choice in all we do.

The Lord loves and imparts His love upon all who will receive, never allowing the darkness of hate to enter into His heart or ours.

In Him, we find all we need to inspire us to greatness and in doing great things, yet keeping us humble and our focus on Him. In Him, we have a shelter and haven from all the sick minds that promote hatred out of their own bitterness and anger. In Him, we find a gathering place where neither gender or skin tones matter. In Him, is our hope for peace on earth and eternal rest with Him.

I cast all my cares upon Him and I lean upon Him for guidance in my life for next three years and beyond as I journey into the political arena. I'm trusting Him to keep my integrity intact, my honor exposed for all to see and the love in my heart overflowing onto every Everyday American with whom I come into contact. He has promised in His Word that when we delight in Him, He gives us the desires of our hearts and I desire to serve all Americans with respect and dignity and to maintain the office of the presidency with all the sanctity it deserves. This I declare by Him who is Holy and all-knowing!

How Are We Walking?

The elder, To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth—because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love. It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work. 2 John 1:1-1-11 NIV
On this journey--life--no matter where we start or how we finish--if we never learn to walk in truth and in love; our lives will be meaningless.

To walk in truth is to always seek truth and turning away from lies and falsehoods and promoting truth--even if we don't agree with truth--we cannot change truth for if we do; we create lies. With the lies people walk in deception and soon the deception becomes a way of life and when those walking in deception, choose to deceive others, their lives--demonstrate they do not know God.

To walk in love is to receive God's love and allow it to over flow onto everyone with whom we come into contact. This does not mean we have to agree with everyone, but we love enough to disagree, agreeably, never allowing love to stop flowing. If love does not dwell within us, we cannot love others. If we cannot love others, a great void develops in our lives and we cease to know how to be affectionate even though we long for affection. If we are unable to love self--we are certainly incapable of loving others for love does not hold grudges, does not abuse, does not misuse, does not create chaos and confusion and love will not hold onto lies or lead one to lie.

Therefore, if we are truly walking in the light of Jesus Christ--we know that love and truth walk together--hand in hand--and one without the other--creates an emptiness that can only be filled with the love of Christ.

If we see a person not walking in truth and love--they are walking in darkness and darkness keeps one seeing clearly the direction and path that God would have them walking. Seek truth and accept God's love and make sure, the path taken in life, is the path were truth and love and walk together, not separately.

Blinded

humility
Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 NIV
Blindness shields not just the eyes
But the spirit of the heart when scales
Like those shielding a fish, we can but wish
Truth uncovers all the deeds of darkness
Existing in our government--no matter who's involved,
So American democracy stands as a beacon, resolved
To be a light unto the world in spite of all the lies.

Blinders are put on race horses to make sure they only see what's in front of them--forcing them to look straight ahead so they are not distracted by events or issues that may take place on the sidelines.

Some people are physically blind from birth--never knowing the difference between light and dark, colors and hues, but have a remarkable spiritual sight and know how to distinguish between truth and lies.

Some people lose their sight to accidents or illness--and have known the beauty of light and dark, the mesmerizing colors that exist in our world and though some are bitter about the event in their life that caused them to no longer see--they accept their plight and do all they can to continue to live a full life--understanding how blindness changes perception.

There are two political factions--each blinded in their own way--to what they see as right. At the moment--the loyalists to 45 were blinded by hatred, racism, bigotry and need--and were duped by the gas-lighting perpetuated by those who know how to distort truth to make it palatable to the gullible. And then there are the Resistors--fighting  for truth to be exposed on every side and angle, blinded by the need to know--what is and what isn't.

I am proud to belong to the latter--The Resistors who are fighting to expose truth no matter where it lands. I have not been gas-lighted--duped into doubting what I see in front of me for my eyes are wide open, my ears unstopped, my mind ready to analyze information from various sources and draw conclusions based on the evidence and facts uncovered--not opinion or persuasive means by another.

There are times in which we must be able to admit where we are--blinded by a desire to stay focus on the task-at-hand and for me--that task is do all I can to help expose the intentional undermining of the democratic process in our 2016 election. With the continuing evidence brought to the surface, I know I heard God right from the start and I am more determined than ever to stay the course--the path He has directed--in being in this monumental effort to right wrongs and expose all the lies and liars.

The burning lake--is going to be overrun if current events is any indicator of all those who deliberated lied--under oath--and the pathological liars who do nothing but lie.  All the GOP leadership will have a place in that lake for continued effort to cover the truth with their lies and it is evident to anyone with a functioning brain--they are scrambling to cover their own behinds, but the truth--in all of its ugliness will rise to the surface, exposing all involved in the collusion to simply grab seats in Congress with the help of the Russian hacking.

Are you blinded by the god of this world or determination to know truth?

Who Is Blessed?

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. He said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:1-16 NIV
There are some people who say, consistently, "I'm blessed." But are they really blessed or is that simply a buzz phrase, generated by the pseudo-religious?

Here we see what the qualifiers are to be blessed as taught by Jesus. Read carefully and reflect on what He says. Now, who is blessed?

We often relate being blessed with material wealth or success, but that's not how God sees us as being blessed. We are blessed to see a new day with new mercies and we are blessed when we leave the earth realm when we know--heaven is our destination. We are blessed to have the use of our limbs and blessed we see beyond not having every limb functioning the way it should. I've seen what people can do who were born without arms and legs and they are more blessed than some who have all their limbs--functioning--but they never do anything worthwhile.

We are blessed to be in our right minds and for those who are dealing with diminished capacity, they are blessed--not knowing what our current political environment has produced--all the hate and chaos.

I guess what I'm getting to is that we have to see ourselves blessed by God, no matter what our circumstances are. If we look hard enough we can see a blessing in everything, even when a madman in the WH. How so? Though many of us know 45 is only in the White House because of the Russian hacking, the lies and false propaganda promoted by his team, we can see a blessing that resulted it from it. People all over the world are coming together, rebuking and refuting hate-mongering and fear-mongering. People are joining other like-minded folks in protesting and resisting the "opposition" in Washington, DC. People are discovering that no matter who they voted for in the 2016 election, we all now have a common goal--to expose the idiocy that exists in the minds of those who think they are superior and to encourage one another to get through this dark time in our lives.

If the haters want to call us names--"snowflakes"--they should remember that millions of compacted snowflakes create a hazardous blizzard. No matter what they call us--or what they say about our endeavors--we have the right motives and therefore are blessed by God for we are peacemakers, not peace-breakers. We promote love, not hate. We endeavor to help others, not destroy others. By all accounts--according to The Word and the success we see in our persistence and determination to have our voices heard--we are blessed and we are the light that refuses to be dimmed by hatred and hypocrisy.

Are you blessed? How do you know? Is God pleased with how you treat people? Are you leading others into truth or deluding them with lies?

As for me and my house and others with whom I am associated--we are Blessed!

Watching Deceptive Practices!

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:1-9 NIV
One of the most interesting aspects of being involved with those who fight for justice against those who attempt to oppress or tyrannize people is the fact that we don't give up and all we do--is transparent, open to public scrutiny, see in the light--not plotted in darkness or secrecy.

Though there are those who would take the side of the oppressor and rail against us--we keep going--never allowing the banner of freedom and truth to fall by the wayside as so many have done in "giving Trump a chance."

Many of those who "gave him a chance by voting for him"  are now experiencing "buyer's remorse" and the saddest part of all is to see those who have said, they regret allowing their emotions--"their hatred of Hillary" to lead them to vote for a person who is so thin-skinned and vindictive that he can't see why he lost the popular vote.

With the decision to move forward with the pipelines--many have expressed--directly to him through his Twitter account--have disgusted they are with him--to ignore the Native Americans right to protect their land. But don't take my word for word it. All of this can be seen on the Twitter Page dedicated for those with Trump Regrets found @Trump_Regrets.

Aside from those who are experiencing regret--there are those of us who did not trust him from the beginning because we saw who he really was--long before now.

And those executive orders he's signing--are simply his way to get back at President Obama--because his insecurities lead him to believe he has to exceed--go beyond--anything President Obama did in an attempt to make himself superior to Obama. His obsession over surpassing President Obama is obvious to anyone with eyes not covered with blinders. I've said before that Trump suffers from a cognitive disability that drives his personality disorders and every day--he proves how right many are in drawing the same conclusions. And nothing he does or says will make him even half the man President Obama is. The difference being--President Obama had a heart for all Americans and it showed--even in those things I didn't agree with him.

Interviews with those who thought he was going to save them--coal miners in particular who need the healthcare accessible through the ACA, are now worried. And so are others who see "executive orders" issued that will affect their rights.

His moves to blatantly support discrimination are obvious and have ignited a fire under a number of groups who will not allow him to turn the clock back on their rights.

Whether people want to believe him or not is their business, but any time a person in authority has to create "distractions" to keep people off focus to what's really going on is a sign that we are no longer living in a democracy, but spiraling into the depths of a fascist regime--where one person--Trump--thinks he is the final authority. For those who worship him as their god, so be it.

For those who believe in the God of Heaven, the creator of all things and without whom, nothing was ever created--our trust is in God and we will do all He puts on our hearts to do. We are the true Believers--the ones who live by The Word--loving all unconditionally, no matter what the circumstance. Those who resist Trump do not hate him--we simply recognize him for the despot he is and are rising against him as people have done for centuries.

We The People--all Americans--no matter what our skin color, politics, religion or gender--will fight to make sure the constitution is upheld by every elected official and no rights are violated simply because of petty vengefulness.

For those who don't want to see truth--but are giddy with excitement over the "alternative facts" presented--do your thing and just remember this: When there is a ship in the middle of the sea and there are no lifeboats available when the storm rages and overturns the ship, all aboard will suffer the same fate.

The colonists left England to get out from under the thumb of a monarchy. We do not have a one-person or even one-family order of rule in this country and we won't. The ax will fall and when it does, it will do what an ax does.

If We Are Conscientious!

2 Corinthians 4:1-6
What does it mean to be conscientious?  It means to be governed by one's conscience; controlled by or done according to one's inner sense of what is right; principled.

Are we governed by our inner sense of what is right and principled? If not, to what do we attribute our sense of justice and in doing what is right?

There are those who--not understanding the work of Holy Spirit--who say they are led by their consciences--the inner workings of their minds based upon their knowledge of a situation or right and wrong. And they believe with everything in them that they are truly conscientious about what they do. They could be right--as along as their conscience is governed by Holy Spirit speaking to their hearts.

Therein--lies the difference--some people are led by what their mind perceives as truth based upon human ability to comprehend the events unfolding around them and some are led by Holy Spirit--who speaks to our hearts--attuned to Him. When we rely upon Holy Spirit to guide us--we don't have to rely upon human knowledge, but Holy Spirit knows so much more than mere mortals.

We must remember that the enemy speaks to our minds and unfortunately, so many people have allowed their fleshly emotions to guide what they think and the enemy enjoys watching us wallow in self-pity and chaos, not knowing which way to go or to whom to turn. And then we do things--that are not just or right--and claim we were doing what our conscience led us to do and when we see calamity--our consciences are not convicted because we have no heart by which we can hear Holy Spirit. When we have a heart for God and His people, even if we ignore Holy Spirit speaking or misunderstand Him--when the outcome of a decision leads to travesty, our consciences are seared--we are consumed with guilt and attempt to make amends for our actions.

Looking around at what we see in our nation, I'm praying that those in a position to make a decision that will ultimately affect the entire world--will be guided by Holy Spirit--speaking to their hearts and their hearts will guide them in making conscientious decisions--doing what is best for all. I know God is working on the hearts of many, I just pray people will be obedient when they hear Him speak.

If we are all conscientious--allowing Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts and from the abundance of what is in our hearts--we act--we can rest assured that everything will be all right in the earth! We will be the light that guides the world out of the darkness that attempts to reign in the hearts of those who do not know The Lord!

As Long As God Is

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2 NIV

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,  he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23 NIV

I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds. 2 Corinthians 7:4 NIV

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. Psalm 37:3-13 NIV
This day and every day, we need reminding that as long as God is still on the throne, we can trust Him to keep His promises and we have no need to fear man. And while we have no need to fear man, we do need to be watchmen and warn others of the impending dangers. That is the role of the watchman and everyone who proclaims that Jesus Christ is Lord--is a watchman.

The Lord has encouraged my heart and reminded me that as long as I hear Him and obey, He will continue to bless me. Therefore, this morning after I woke up and before I got out of bed, I heard Him say, As Long As He Is...we can make it.

As long as God is the authority in our lives, we have no need to fear what man or woman should say or do.

As long as God is the Alpha and Omega in our lives, we have no need for mere man to guide us in anything.

As long as God is the light we see in the midst of darkness, our hope shall overcome anything the wicked attempt to do.

As long as God is the answer to every question, we shall continue to encourage one another in His love.

As long as God is hope of glory in the heart of every Believer, we have no need for anyone to control us or have any authority in our lives.

As long as God is the only self-existing, self-sufficient One in our lives, we have no need to depend on others who are dependent upon Him.

As long as God is the voice of reason to which we hear and obey, we shall not fear what the enemy does for our reward for living according to God's Word is secure with Him.

As long as God Is, we have no need to depend upon the voices of others that waver and promote fear instead of love.

Though there may be clouds in our lives and darkness attempts to shut out the light, when we know our relationship with Jesus Christ is what it should be, we will survive and thrive, watching how God shows Himself so all will see.  He is the light in the midst of darkness; He is our hope and as long as we know, we are strengthened by His joy in us, we can make it!

As long as God Is not a man we know will never lie to us or mislead us, we can rest--assured of His love and His faithfulness.

As long as God is the Great Shepherd in our lives, we can trust Him and have no need for those who won't do as He does.

Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of His love for us, His faithfulness to us, and His mercy and grace that are poured out upon us, daily! If we are more dependent upon His Word and a right relationship with Him, He will keep us from being misled by the words and works of the enemy.

We know He is love and will only promote love.

We know He is light and will not attempt to hide who He is in darkness or dark ways.

We know He is truth and cannot lie.

And we know that there is no other name by which we can be saved-- other than Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!

Repentance and Forgiveness!

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:9-14 NIV
In order for us to receive forgiveness, we must willing to admit when we're wrong. If a person can never admit being wrong or in need of forgiveness, how can they be forgiven?

Many are those who always cry, "forgive, forgive" but that's only when it pertains to someone else, not them. And the other side of the coin is--the person who keeps doing wrong, never repents of the wrongdoing--never turns away from doing wrong--because they never admit they are wrong. Apologies--it would seem to some--are for losers and therefore--a winner never apologizes for anything--in their mind. So, if there is no admittance or apology, there can be no forgiveness for if there is--it is just a matter of words, not sincerity since true forgiveness, comes with a change of heart.

We are told--in The Word--that from the abundance of the heart--the mouth speaks. From that we can conclude by what we hear--what is in a person's heart. If all we hear is hatred and bigotry, lies and finger-pointing, then what we hear is what's overflowing in their heart.

If we attach a color to every trait or virtue--what color would our hearts be? We've heard of people having a black heart (pure evil), but is that what resides within us? For all those virtues that are positive--love, joy, hope, forgiveness, humility, and sincerity,--let's color them yellow. For all the negative traits--lying, hatred, bigotry, fear-mongering--let's color them black. Now, let's take a look at what appears to be a halo over people--is it light or is it darkness? Darkness does not drive out light, but light certainly drives out darkness so it would benefit all for us to have light in our hearts rather than darkness.

Not one of us--living past the age of seven--can say we've never done anything wrong. And as kids, when we did something wrong we were punished--if we had loving parents. As adults, we have to recognize when our behavior is not conducive to maintaining peace or when infringing upon the rights of others. When we do wrong--we admit it--apologize and seek forgiveness and let it go, not holding grudges.

When we repent--turn away from those things that offend God and turn to Him to stay on the right path, He forgives and never reminds us of all the wrong we've ever done. But the enemy--the prince of darkness--will always seek a way to get into our minds to remind us of what we've done in hopes of keeping us distracted. We don't have to let the enemy influence our thoughts or our deeds. We simply have to remember who it is we serve and serve Him with gladness and joy in our hearts.

However--if we never acknowledge doing wrong--there is no true repentance and therefore forgiveness is not received. For what we do not admit when we're wrong, God cannot forgive us. And if we say we're sorry for doing something when we are not--the lack of sincerity will be revealed in our continued wrongdoing.

Beloved, let's love one another with a sincere heart--allowing the light of hope and joy to override the darkness impelled by fear and hatred. God is love and if we love Him, we can love others for love resides in our hearts in abundance. And if we love, we can forgive when others admit their wrongdoing and we should not hold it against them.

Just Remember His Word!

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:1, 6, 7 NIV
Though there may be many things that we see in the news--both locally and nationally--we should not allow our hearts to be troubled or dismayed.

When we look to Jesus--the Author and Finisher of our faith, we know there is nothing impossible for Him.

Whatever the situation is, no matter how dark things may look, we must remember that He is the Light.

No matter how hateful others act around us--we must remember that He is Love!

No matter how angry we may want to get at the lies perpetuated in the media--about anything--we must remember that He is Truth and the truth shall keep us free--from lingering on thoughts of defeat or failure. Through Christ Jesus--we have victory!

Our weapons are not carnal, but spiritual and they are more powerful than any material weapon or words. We have Holy Spirit residing within and He will (if we let Him) guide all of our thoughts and keep our focus on Him who loves us and we don't have to think about those who hate--for no reason.

We don't have to concern ourselves about those who would create divisiveness and inequalities among any people because we know--In Christ, there is no gender, nor racial divide, nor ethnic divide--there is only truth in Him. "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28 NIV

If we just remember His Word--we won't allow the present circumstances or situations to derail us by allowing our focus to stray. With God going before us--He is more than the world against us.

When people lie in an attempt to persuade, we simply need to speak truth or type truth as it is written and not stoop to the levels of those who deliberately lie to distort the truth.

When truth has been revealed and the haters keep reviling us--just remember His Word--God is watching and He knows all about it.

There are some who just keep repeating the same lies--day after day, minute after minute--even though the truth has been publicized--they find it more beneficial to lie because they think the consistent repetition--will make the lies the truth--if they just keep saying it. That is not how God works because He is not a man that He should lie. And considering the fact that He has prepared a place for all liars in the lake of fire, He would not condone lying for any reason.

We don't need to follow anyone who promotes hatred of others because if we know Him, we know that He is Love and love covers a multitude of faults.
Not one of us on this earth is perfect or all-knowing, but He is and in Him we live and move and have our being. Not one of us knows the number of hairs on our head (if we have hair), but He does. Not one of us knows the end from the beginning, but He does. Not one of us can change anything about a person just by thinking we can, and God won't. He allows everyone to be exactly who they want to be.
Some accept God has a better plan that we could ever have and some don't.
Throughout our lives--God gives us CHOICE and He respects our choices--never attempting to control what we do--against our will and we should follow His example--not man since man is fickle and always changing their mind.
When we know truth--about any situation--we should rely upon the truth and ignore vicious lies and half truths because a half truth--IS A WHOLE LIE!
When we're wrong--about anything--we should own it and rectify it as quickly as we can so we can continue to do the good works He has put upon our hearts.
We don't get discouraged by what we see because we live by faith in God, not by the sight of comes before us. Just remember His Word!

Life, Light and Love!

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-7 NIV

We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6 NIV

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 1 John 3:9-11 NIV

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.1 John 4:7-13 NIV
There is no improving upon God's Word and when and if we ever learn to take it to heart, studying for understanding and acting with the Wisdom received from Him, we will understand Love and live--loving all as He loves us.

Where there is no love, darkness and hatred reign, but light dispels the darkness and there can be no light without love.

Isn't it time, we walked in the light of love towards all people--regardless of their religious beliefs or the color of the skin or their ethnicity? Until we learn to love, the world will never know peace. Until we learn to accept the fact that no one group of people is superior to another, we won't love as God loves--unconditionally.

Talk is cheap--and by the multitude of words is a fool known. Let's stop talking about love and start living love so the entire world will see God in everything we do!

Enough said!

When We're Set Free!

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 NIV
What is freedom that many are willing to fight and die for?
Why is true freedom just beyond our reach--on earth?
Why do we need to be liberated.
Why are there visible and invisible barriers keeping us in place?

The freedom and liberation that have cost so many lives in countries where small-minded people and dictators attempt to keep people in bondage to them is worth the fight--for those who fight it.

The freedom to be treated with equality--like human beings--without restrictions of movement, to enjoy a healthy environment without pollutants making lives hazardous, having access to a quality education, and the ability to provide for family and self is hindered by bigotry and hatred because of skin color, nationality, or religion--perpetuated by classicism--the Haves hoping to keep the have-nots from ever achieving what they have. But remember these are the small-minded people who have no relationship with God who want to keep people in bondage.

However not all restrictions to freedom are perpetuated by people--many people are in bondage to addictions, insecurities, low-esteem, and an inability to see beyond the moment. These are the people who are drawn to abusers--involved in domestic abuse, shackled to substances that control what they do and how they think, some end up behind bars that are visible and some are kept jailed by bars that no one can see, but them.

The freedom fight for equality as human beings--free to live where one wants, to vote, to have access to information regardless of station in life--shall continue as long as we have small-minded people who think only a handful should rule the masses.

Unfortunately, the fight for freedom to be loosed from invisible shackles is not a fight that many can win on their own--but they can if they're willing to embrace the love God has for them.

God's love shines forth and destroys darkness and yokes of bondage like no pill ever could. God's love does not penalize, but rewards those who receive it. God's love does not abuse those who receive it and embracing His love--knowing that He died for us so we could be free from sin--sets us free to enjoy all of His many benefits.

The only barrier or restriction that keeps us from being free to enjoy His love is our willful determination to live in opposition to His Word. So, if you've not received His love by accepting the work on the cross--Jesus willingly dying for us to set us free--today is a good day to liberate yourself. Get into His Word and allow His Word to get into your heart and seek His wisdom and direction daily and obey. When we're truly free--we can say what God says and live how He wants us to live without concern about what others think or say. That's how we embrace His love and know true freedom!

Shadow Security!

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. Psalm 91:1,2; 9,10 NIV
When the shadows fall over the land, we can either feel security or fear. There are so many stories about our reactions to shadows that one blog post would not do it justice. There are times when shadows have caused people frightening experiences when they did not realize that tree branches and plastic bags caught on branches can give the allusion of something else that is far more sinister than what it is.

And then there are times when dangerous acts have been defeated because of the shadows alerting others of the dangers contrived by those who are evil.

But there is security in the knowledge that those of us who believe that the shadow of the Almighty is with us, daily. We can trust in the security of that shadow knowing that nothing by any means shall harm us when we dwell in His presence.

I started to title this post, shadow boxing--because that is what many of us do when we're trying to overcome mindsets that keep us from enjoying the benefit of belonging to God. We feel we must always fight back--boxing our imaginary opponent that only exists in our heads--and yet we never win. Though shadow boxing has its benefits for those who are training to be boxers, there is no win since we are actually boxing our own shadow. And every time we move--in the right conditions for shadows to exist--the shadow moves and looms larger than we are.

So, too does God's shadow--loom so much larger than we are and therefore we can trust Him to protect us. If we truly understood what dwelling in the shadow of His presence meant, we would indeed--fear no evil that conspires against us. We would boldly travel the paths He sets before us and not concern ourselves with the mediocrity that attempts to distract us. His shadow--on every side--because He is Light and where there is Light, His shadow is present.

Remember--when Peter passed by some and those who were enveloped in his shadow were healed. David said though the shadow of death was always present, he would not fear any evil coming upon him.

We do not have to fear shadows--unless we are in the wrong place for all the wrong reasons. Living in God's shadow--we are fully protected and have no need to fear.

On The Journey--Nun!

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
I have sworn and confirmed
That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
I am afflicted very much;
Revive me, O LORD, according to Your word.
Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD,
And teach me Your judgments.
My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.
The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.
Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever,
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, to the very end. Psalm 119:105-112 NKJV

The 14th letter and stanza--gratitude for God's Word in the direction our lives take.

How is God's Word a lamp for our feet and a light on our path?

When we consider how paths were lit before streetlights or lamplights were invented, foot lamps were used along a public path, set into the ground so people could see where they were going or any hazard in their way.

God's Word is indeed a light--it illuminates truths so we can see where we're headed if we don't obey and when we obey. In God's Word, we discover when we're on a path that may be hazardous to us, if we pay attention. When I remember what was said to Joshua, I can see how the writer has come to this conclusion. "If we keep God's commandments, whatever we put our hands to will prosper and we'll have good success." On a path to success, if we obey, we'll make it and if we don't, we won't.

Have we made a commitment to keep God's Word--primarily to love Him and everyone else? If we love Him, we'll always do what is right and pleasing in His sight; if we love others, we'll not do things that could harm them. This is the commitment to keeping God's Word!

And when we have made that commitment to keeping God's Word, we can better handle the attacks by the enemy. Unless our lives are threatened, we don't have to worry about stooping to the level of the enemy; we just speak God's Word over our lives and pray for our enemies that they will become enlightened by God's goodness. For we know--because of the testimonies given by others and how God sustained them, even in the midst of adversity--that He will do it again. He is the same God--yesterday, today, and forever and we can count on Him.

Have we totally submitted our hearts to God in keeping that commitment alive? Have we opened our hearts to receive all the love He has for us so we'll have more than enough to pour out on others?

If we have no love in our hearts, we certainly cannot hope to have love for others. We cannot give what we do not have. Before we can keep His Word, we must receive His Word and all the love that comes with it.

Destruction!

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.  But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other." (Galatians 5:13-15 NIV)

We are a family of human beings--we are all created uniquely individual, designed to socialize--needful of one another, so why is there so much animosity between us?

Forget for a moment that Paul is specifically speaking to Believers and let's broaden the outlook to all people--from all nations--across the globe. If mankind originated from one man and woman--Adam and Eve, then all human beings are related in one way or another. We all need to eat and breathe to live and we all need clean air and drinkable water to survive all of the toxins created by man's inventiveness. So, if we need one another--wouldn't it make sense for us to be considerate of one another--at all times?

Who is our neighbor that we should love them? Anyone with whom we know as fellow Believers--for starters. But that doesn't mean we cannot love those who do not believe as we do. We can and should love all--even those with whom we disagree. For if we are incapable of loving others; especially those who are not like-minded, we create a void that needs to be filled and if not filled with love, it will be filled with hate. Either we allow Holy Spirit to influence us to love or Satan to influence us to hate. How do we know Satan's influence is running rampant in the earth? Just look at all the hate!

Satan's entire mission is to destroy mankind because God loves us. In order to achieve his goal to destroy, he instigates superiority in one group of people over another--making them feel everyone else is wrong and they're the only ones who are right. He stirs up hatred and division to keep us from socializing and communicating like civilized persons. He feeds our bitterness, frustration and disappointments with negativity and distrust--guiding us to an abyss where he can leave us to drop into the hate-filled void of darkness with no way out. Soon, because people do not recognize Satan's influence in their lives, they kill each other for little or reason, wiping out humanity until all is lost and there is no one left, but the spirit of darkness and doom.

However, there is hope and the hope is our faith and belief that we are "the light set upon a hill" so others can and will know love because of the love we show to all. Where there is love and light--hate and darkness cannot abide. If darkness is dispelled by the light and love of those who love Christ, destruction can be deterred and the enemy will slither away, biding his time until the next round. And there will be a next round by the enemy to destroy, but we can let the love of God overwhelm us and flow onto all we meet and see that where there is love, we defeat destructive forces.

We can change what is happening in our society--one person at a time by dispensing love as freely as the air we breathe. With love, there is no destruction--on construction of loving relationships, determined to sustain humanity until He comes to take us home.

Fellowship With Light Every Day!

"If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." (I John 1::6,7 NIV)

Walking in darkness--directed by the "dark one" who influences all evil, under the cover of darkness or hidden agendas, means we cannot be in fellowship with God.

When our relationship with God is right--we have fellowship with Him, live to please Him and not self, and receive the bountiful blessings He has for us. If we are walking with Him (abiding by His Word at all times), we will not want to sin because He is with us and everything we do, is done in broad daylight (in full view of all) because we have no reason to be fearful or ashamed.

Picture this, if you will. We get out of bed and He is right there by our sides. Whatever we do, He is with us--through all the morning rituals (whatever they may be), breakfast, commute to work or sitting right next to us as we enjoy the view of a glorious morning with our first cup of coffee.

Us: Good morning, Lord! Thank You for waking us this morning! It's going to be a good day.

God: Yes, my child it is going to be a good day for every day with me is good.

Us: I am so thankful that I am Your child. Thank You for loving me in spite of me.

God: My child, I want You to know that I am right next to You at all times. I know your thoughts and I know when you're going to ignore me. Sometimes, the only way a person can learn to live right is by making mistakes. When you mess up--I see the repentant heart and forgive when you ask me. I love you and that's what good parents do.

Us: We love you, even when we sometimes go astray, but Your mercies, new every morning, help to keep us going in the right direction.  You are so awesome!

God: What would you like from me today? When you please me, I give you whatever you want.

Us: Lord, point out everyone that needs an encouraging word, everywhere we go. Give us the courage to speak Your truth, not ours so the land can live in peace.

God: When you pass by those on your way, smile and tell them I love them and everything is going to be all right, when they seek me first.

Us: Really? That's all we need to do to have what we want?

God: That's it. As long as you remember I'm right here, seeing what you see, feeling what you feel and your desire is to please me, you can ask for anything and I'll give it.

Us: Lord, if we've found favor in Your sight, speak to hearts and heal the land of all hatred and violence.

God: Is that your request of me?

Us: Yes, Lord.

God: Then as we walk throughout this day, people will see you and know that are mine and I am yours and by what you do, they'll believe in me, accept my love and the hatred will cease.

Us: Thank You, Lord! Are Your ready to go?

God: I am always ready to go where ever you go.

Did we get it? He's always there, right beside us, in the midst of everything we do. He sees, He knows, and He blesses our efforts to live right before Him. As long as we remember He is right beside us, we cannot go wrong--especially if we want to stay in fellowship with Him.

Can we do it? Can we walk in the light as He is the Light? Can we shake off the dark thoughts and cease to walk in darkness? There is no fellowship with God in darkness because Light dispels the darkness and all is exposed in the Light.

Lord, Thank You for leading us along the path You have prepared for us and for being with us throughout the journey, keeping us safe, protected from all harm. Give us a nudge any time we want to stray from the path, reminding us that You are right there with us.

What Type Union?

"And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people." (2 Corinthians 6:16 NIV)

The case presented by Paul as to why we should be careful about the connections we make or the unions we establish is pretty clear. He makes a strong case as to why Believers and Unbelievers won't make a solid union. This one verse--could not possibly say it all, so I encourage everyone to read the entire chapter for clarity.

Paul cautions us to not establish unions between good and evil, light and darkness, idolaters and Believers. While some have in the past attempted to make a case for segregation of races because of skin color or ethnicity, this is not what he's saying. He's warning us about intimate involvement when those who don't know God or establish policies that are in opposition to God's Word. By intimate involvement, I mean close ties or relationships with those of dissimilar beliefs. This is not a reference to sexual relationships of any kind.

Why do we need to be wary about those with whom we associate and have close ties? The old adage, "birds of a feather flock together," comes to mind. We develop bad habits faster than we develop good habits and when we're around people who have "bad habits" we tend to emulate them rather than them emulating us. Why? Some people will do whatever they have to do to "get along" with others, not having the backbone to stand firm on what they know is right.

This is how gangs operate in neighborhoods and schools. It is our politicians function--they say anything to get a vote, but then do whatever is popular with their cohorts, not willing to cause waves, even when decisions are made that are contrary to their beliefs. This is how the insecure function in our society--they simply go along to get along in order not to be alone. This is how abusers keep their victims under control, but if the victims understood their own worth, they would not have been involved with the one who abused.

Anyone who uses intimidation to control or manipulate others is a tool of evil. There is no light in them, so why would anyone walking in the light and love of God have a relationship with them? They shouldn't. When we, who are walking in the light and love of God, walk into a situation, evil should run and hide like roaches when a light switch is turned on to dispel the darkness.

Remember, manipulation is what Satan does, not God. Deception is what Satan uses to convince, not God. Destruction--tearing down is what Satan does, while construction--building up is what God does. And there is no union possible with the works of Satan and the works of God.

So, why we would even attempt to be in any type of union with the unbelieving? We shouldn't, for God has said every man's work will be tried by fire and only those works that are firmly established in Him and by Him, shall withstand the heat. We want to avoid the stain of evil that spreads like wildfire when we unite with it.

Not every one we meet is good for us, nor do they have our best interest at heart, so move cautiously in determining who will be close enough to persuade or influence who you are and not who they are.

He Sees It All!

"But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God." (John 3:21 NIV)

What we do in the dark,
Always comes to the surface,
Whether, evil or good, truth or lie,
He sees it all!

What's the point of doing things under the cloak of darkness? Do we not understand that not only does God see it all, but He knows our hearts, and whether our thoughts are good or evil? Is it because we think we are wiser than He?

For the Believer who knows the Truth and has been brought into the marvelous Light of Truth, we know nothing is hidden from Him. But for those who choose to not believe, they think their unbelief will shield them from God's sight. Nothing is ever hidden from the One who created all things and without Him, nothing was ever created.God has said in His Word that He created the evil for His purposes. In this way, He has allowed us options. Choose good or choose evil. Whatever our choices are, they will the basis or foundation for the verdict we receive at the end.

I want to be found guilty! Guilty of believing everything God says; guilty of giving my heart over to Jesus; guilty of living a life that was pleasing to Him, guilty of presenting the Gospel to others at every opportunity; guilty of loving all unconditionally; guilty of standing tall and refusing to budge in agreement with His Word; guilty of proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, our Redeemer and Risen King! Guilty as charged! That is all I want Him to see!

Others who disavow His existence will hear another verdict--especially when they had opportunity to hear, but refused to accept. That is their fate because He sees it all!

No Believer can ever determine where anyone will reside for eternity--that is not our role in life. Our role is simply to tell all we meet that God is and forever will be--the only One who has established the verdicts we will--whether we walk in darkness or in the Light--He knows--He sees it all!

If anyone reading this post is yet walking in darkness, I pray they will allow the love of God to fill their hearts to overflowing and make a decision today, to walk in the Light as He is the Light!

Never in the Dark!

"You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light." (Psalm 18:28 NIV)

If a person has ever found themselves in total darkness, blackness, where not even a pinpoint of light is present, they know the importance of having access to light. When a person is in total darkness, hope diminishes, faith fades, and panic erupts.

Does this sound like the position we find ourselves in when we are cloaked in the darkness of sin?

Even though some succumb to the clutches of sin, ever struggling to get away from it, if they see a glimmer of light, they remain hopeful. Hope is what we have in The Light and with hope, faith can soar and we can know peace and calm in the midst of any situation that arises in our lives.

Darkness--in a number of instances in The Word is symbolic for sin and the influence of Satan. Light and lamps are symbols for hope and faith in God. Light and lamps are mentioned 248 times in the bible and darkness 142 times; light overrides and dispels darkness, every time.

Can a person accomplish anything in total darkness? What can be accomplished when the light of truth is spread all around us? One method of torture used by those seeking information in times of war and terrorism is darkness--when a person is kept in total darkness for specific amounts of time. In darkness--our imaginations rule and every possible horrible thing, invades our thinking.
Once we see the light--even the tiniest point of light--shine, we begin to hope again.

Jesus reminds us that we must work while it is day--the light of the sunshine--helps us to see, for when darkness comes, no man can work.

Keep struggling to get out from under the cloak of darkness that invades and leaves you hopeless! Receive all who bring truth as a light unto your path and allow hope and faith to reign, never in the dark, again!

Exposed!

"For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. 'So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.' " (Luke 8:17,18 NLT)

Words of wisdom for all who will hear,
Words of Judgment for all who fear,
The second coming-- Him Returning for His church,
The body of Believers from all walks of life,
For those who sought peace, and tried to calm strife,
When He comes, all truth--and secrets exposed
Those concealed by cold hearts who refused to believe,
Will finally understand, why God created man,
In His image, to live as we ought, by His commands,
To Love Him and obey and love others as self,
With this stance we make known, by our love, we are His!
When we stand before Him, with all exposed,
No more secrets or lies, souls laid bare for His inspection,
Too late for us, to seek time for more introspection
About how we should have lived, before He returns.

Now, why it is day, all can see clearly,
Let us live life by His Word, and hold to it dearly,
Not willing to be left behind or thrown into the lake,
Of fire with hell and all liars because of our mistakes.
If what we do in darkness cannot stand the light of truth,
Why then, do we do it? All done in darkness will be exposed
By the Light, of Truth as He speaks to us all in the end,
I pray for myself as well as for you, that all we will hear,
Is welcome and well done, my friends!

Nothing Greater!

“Now search all of history, from the time God created people on the earth until now, and search from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything as great as this ever been seen or heard before?" (Deuteronomy 4:32 NLT)

Though history has always been a matter of perspective--based upon who's telling it--there can be no denying that nothing greater has happened in history than the creation of man--by a self-sufficient God--not created by the hands of man!

People can worship any god of their choosing--and create images of their likenesses and commit them to stone, but have those images--those gods ever created anything?

I've often wondered how anyone could believe that something created by the hands of man could yield any supernatural power over anything or anyone. Somehow, that type of belief defies logic. If I can make it--then would not I have the power supposedly given to the "thing?"

Now, I realize that many would say belief in an "unseen" God defies logic as well, but belief in Creator God--one who created everything and without Him nothing was created makes more sense than "us" making things and then giving them power.

What have the other gods created except for confusion in the minds of many? Did they create the earth or the heavens, the stars, or the seas or even "mankind" as we are today?

Why would anyone worship a "thing" and expect anything from it? Things, created by the hands of people, have no power of themselves and therefore, since they cannot "do" anything of their own accord, why do they deserve worship by anyone?

I'm not trying to minimize a person's belief in whatever they believe; I'm simply trying to understand it.

No mound of stones is creating anything, no ropes of beads or gems is creating anything, no wooden crosses are creating anything--when we give the things more power than He who created all the material in which the things were created, we are worshipping idols, which is a waste of time and energy.

But then--there are those who worship spouses, children, cars, jobs, themselves and once again I ask--why?

There is no greater god--no matter how many people worship the things they create--than the God of Heaven who created all the things people use to create the images that have no power.

But the god of this world (Satan) has deceived people into thinking the things are deserving of worship which is why they do it. If people are convinced that "things" have power when they don't, their focus is not on God and Satan can continue to influence people into doing stupid--killing, destroying, lying, stealing, manipulating and when people wear blinders, they can be led into darkness, not understanding the power of Light and Truth.
