With Great Compassion!

This is what the LORD says: “In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’ “They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill. They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.I will turn all my mountains into roads, and my highways will be raised up. See, they will come from afar— some from the north, some from the west, some from the region of Aswan. Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.” “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Isaiah 49:8-15 NIV
No matter what happens to us--we can hold onto this unchanging truth--God will never forget us!

Politicians may forget what they say and ignore those who forged the path of their success, but God won't.

Parents may forget about what their children should mean to them, but God won't.

Older Americans suffering from dementia and Alzheimers may forget much of their life, but God won't forget one moment of their lives.

God's remembrance of us and for us is a result of His compassion for the nations. He knows all about our troubles, and He knows when we veered to the left or the right instead of staying on the path He established for us, but His compassion keeps our place with Him until we find our way back to where He would have us. Hallelujah!

Without compassion--we who believe would be lost and so would the rest of the world. It is our responsibility to be the living example of who Jesus Christ is and unless we conduct ourselves as ambassadors for Christ--the nations will be lost. We must be compassionate people--able to love and care for others--especially those who don't look like us, believe like us, or think like us.

If we can only be compassionate to those who are like-minded, what have we accomplished? Our compassion has to extend beyond our immediacy or the immediacy of those we know. They should know--who we are in Christ--and if they don't, we haven't done a good job of living the message. We must move out of our comfort zones and extend compassion without bias to all who need need it--whether we think they deserve it or not.

Think about this for a moment--and be honest with yourself--do we really deserve God's compassion? Is there anything we could have done to earn His compassion when He made the decision to leave His throne, live among us, and for us that we might have eternal life? No--there is nothing we could have done to earn His favor and compassion. He did what He did because of love--He is Love--and He will continue to shower us with compassion because He can do nothing more than He is--Love!

Without having a compassionate nature--one that sees and feels the needs of others pulling at heart strings--one cannot lead a nation into anything other than chaos and bondage. When a leader has no compassion for others, their deeds are only intended to benefit them. Remember that!

When Hatred Drives The Narrative

The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.Whoever winks maliciously causes grief, and a chattering fool comes to ruin. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning, but a rod is for the back of one who has no sense. The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin. The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor. The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death. Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool. Proverbs 10:8-18 NIV
There is therefore, not much need for me to say much more, but I do want to focus on how this segment from Proverbs--reveals why we have the current climate in Washington that we have.  If we look at what occurred prior to the 2016 Election and during it--and actually see "without the hate-tinted glasses" we understand how tRump's hatred of Obama drove him to run for president and the false propaganda invigorated hatred of Hillary drove people to vote for tRump.

But let's look at this in a point-by-point analysis:
  • A chattering fool comes to ruin--chattering--running of the mouth or in the case of 45, his twitter rants are equivalent of someone running their mouth without knowledge--just talk.
  • A crooked path has been taken to the White House since Russian hacking and the promulgation of false propaganda against Hillary caused otherwise rational people to vote against their own interests.
  • Hatred stirs up conflict--whoever holds hate in their hearts against anyone or anything, allows emotions to become the driving force in their life and it taints everything they do. From rallying cries of, "Lock her up," "crooked Hillary," and encouraging the production and sale of the most vile, and heinous campaign memorabilia--the conflict is obvious. Though there was at one time a "cordial relationship" between the Clintons and 45--his hatred drove the narrative that created the gap and animosity that continues to exist.
  • A rod is for the back of those who have no sense--normally referencing the need to use corporal punishment for those who refused to obey, in this case--the disapproval rate of 45 should serve as the rod to bring a change of behavior.
  • Poverty is the ruin of the poor and with the tax cuts for the wealthy and the programs that benefit the poor--the poor will come to ruin if they don't wake up and smell the stench emanating from the White House.
  • The earnings of the wicked are sin and death--whenever anyone increases their wealth by illegal, questionable, or immoral means--they have put themselves in a position to at some point--lose it all. God is deceived and He is watching all.
  • Discipline--it is highly obvious that there has been no discipline in the life of 45 as a child and his temper tantrums have evolved into his Twitter rants when he doesn't get his way. His greed for power and complicity in the 2016 Election fiasco has led to the ruin of the GOP leadership who went along with it to gain power for themselves.  None of them have any credibility at all since revelations are made daily about their knowledge of the Russian hacking surfaced.
  • Hiding hatred behind lying--has never worked and will never work. When lips say one and actions say another--the concealed hatred is exposed for all to see and then to spread lies--because of the hatred--reveals the fool. By definition--an idiot is a foolish or stupid person.
The bottom line to all this is, Americans (the gullible) have allowed hatred to drive the narrative in the decision-making process of the 2016 Election and now--we all suffer the consequences and risk losing lives in an ill-fated bullying tactic which could lead to a war with N. Korea at its helm.

Is that the narrative we really want driven in this global environment where peace is tenuous at best, but could be destroyed forever?

There is a better driving force that makes for a better narrative and that force is love. Why not allow love to drive us on the journey to peace and prosperity for all!

Seeking Comfort?

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace. For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.  2 Corinthians 1:3-14 NIV
Whatever it is we need, we can find it in the Bible in order to try to make sense of the daily events that give us cause to wonder--what is happening in our world.

When we need to understand the foundations laid--those events that shaped history and brings us to this point--we find answers in the books of history in the bible.

When we need to understand the achievements and calamities of good leadership and wicked leadership--we look to the history that summarizes how Kings functioned--who made great strides and who represented evil incarnate.

When we need wisdom we seek it in the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes.

When we need a song to soothe our souls or ignite rejoicing--we seek in the Psalms.

When we need to understand how God uses people to warn the masses of impending dangers we look to the Prophets--from Isaiah to Malachi--never forgetting Elijah and Elisha or anyone else God used including Deborah and Esther.

When we need to understand a true love-relationship--we look to the Songs of Solomon.

When we need to understand the Plan of Redemption--we look to the Gospels and for a more personal accounting of the life of Jesus--we embrace John's Gospel.

When we need to understand what the 11 remaining disciples did and accomplished, we look to the book of ACTS (often analogized as--Acting Christians Terrorizing Satan).

When we need to understand how God intended the Body of Christ to function--after the resurrection--we look to every book in the New Testament up to Revelation.

When we need to understand eternal life--we look to Revelation and seek wisdom from God in understanding the vision God showed John.

Though there are skeptics in the world who refute anything Bible, we can see--if we have understanding and spiritual insight--how God prepared His people to deal with those as well.

Whatever we need--God has already provided and now it is up to us--to continually seek Him to keep us on the right track.

We are indeed without excuse--for we have history to show us what happened when mankind refused to obey God; we have the present to see what happens when those who claim to know God--lie for their own benefit; and we have the future--to plan for our children and grandchildren--teaching them to trust God in all things and to make sure they understand the purpose of knowing history so we won't keep making the same mistakes. For if we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeating the mistakes made in the past and they will inevitably change our present and our future.

The comfort we seek is in God's Word, not in trusting people--for the sake of a party--when all the people are not the intended beneficiaries of all decisions made.

But change is coming--look for it and be prepared to engage in greatness!

What Are We Doing?

In the LORD’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.A person may think their own ways are right, but the LORD weighs the heart. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Haughty eyes and a proud heart— the unplowed field of the wicked—produce sin. The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare. The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refuse to do what is right. The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright. Proverbs 21:1-8 NIV
The way of the devious:
  • Lie
  • Distract
  • Avoid
  • Deflect
  • Deny
  • Project
  • Subterfuge
  • Blame
  • Hide
The way of the innocent:
  • Integrity
  • Honor
  • Compassion
  • Openness
  • Truthful
  • Responsible
  • Accountable
  • Trustworthy
  • Honest
Fanfare and distractions, always grandstanding to distract from the ever-revealing incompetence. If a person doesn't know what they're doing, but wants others to believe they are hardworking and competent--they grandstand--showboat--put on airs for optics because they have no evidence to prove their worth.

That was the show the entertainer provided for Washington yesterday--spending tax dollars to grandstand--7 buses to cart 100 Senators from Capitol Hill to the White House when it would have been more expedient (and physically healthier) for 5 people to walk to Capitol Hill--especially when 4 of them went to Capitol Hill to address the House. How foolish was that and how foolish does the #WHidiot think the American people are?

All the drama from the drama queen for what? According to a number of Senators and most of the Republican--nothing new was learned and most concluded the trip was simply for optics--to give the appearance of something extremely important being imminent, but it was more a show--summoned by the "wannabe dictator" so the world of television would see the kind of power (he thinks), he wields. Of course, the security for a classification discussion was hurriedly modified since there is no such place in the WH that would accommodate the size of the crowd. Not much thought went into what was done. No evident planning or consideration given to the nature of the conversation.

And on top of all the buffoonery, we're told it's all about N. Korea--who the #WHidiot has provoked, but is now trying to sell the idea that N. Korea is an imminent threat to America. Bullying and blustering tactics to distract from the FBI investigation may eventually cause the loss of millions of lives, and all this--because we have an idiot in the White House who would rather risk the lives of Americans and those within range of N. Korea's missiles than to tell America the truth about his involvement with the Russians and their meddling in the 2016 Election.

People (many on television) are saying that Kim Jong-un is a crazy man, but he can't be any crazier than the bullying idiot we have in the White House. And I'll keep calling him an idiot until he leaves the Oval Office--in shame or on his own. Kim Jong is right--the United States is being aggressive in its tactics to send warships to the area in an attempt to get N. Korea to back down. They consider the action a threat and are prepared to defend themselves. If another country sent an "armada" to settle off our shores, we'd consider that a threat and prepare for battle as well. The United States is in the wrong and no matter what the idiots-- who will lie to the American people on behalf of the head-idiot-in-charge, say--I know they all lie to cover his behind.

Foolishness, foolishness, all is foolishness as we discover with his "tax reform" that bilks the poor and inflates the bank accounts of the rich, and will blow up the deficit and put us into a vulnerable economic position for decades to come. But the idiot doesn't care about us--he only cares about how much money he can make and the gullible--thought he cared about them. Oh how I wish I could inspire gullible people to think for themselves or at least get information from credible, reliable sources other than Fox News (the ultimate in fake news). They are an entertainment network, not a news network and that discovery is easily made with a search online.

So, what are we doing to counter the foolishness? Some are sitting back complaining, some are wringing their hands, some are rejoicing (the rich who own the munitions factories), some are contemplating suicide, some are just walking zombies--not knowing which way to turn, and me--I'm planning to run for president in 2020. That's what I'm doing! What are you doing? I'll leave it to you to determine who is devious and who is innocent based upon the above-mentioned traits.

When Small Rocks!

“Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; hyraxes are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces. Proverbs 30:24-28 NIV
There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise: The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer; The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags; The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks; The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings’ palaces. Proverbs 30:24-28 NKJV
Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the LORD that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?” Zechariah 4:10 NIV
They say (whoever "they" is) that the human being is the superior being upon the earth and yet, if we are careful observers of human behavior, there is much reason to doubt that "they" say.
We tend to spend what we don't have, forget about others and think only of selves, and usually get caught up in the most mundane debates and conflicts. Then, because we have seldom reached out to help others, we wonder why--if and when we need--there's no one to be found to help.

That is not to say that whoever is holding out a hand--expecting something to put into it--should be helped. We should all exercise wisdom and discernment--being good stewards over what God has provided us. However, wisdom--when exercised--will reveal to us who is actually in need of help and who is simply scamming people.

Now, reflecting upon the above-referenced passages--can we say, unequivocally--that we are as wise as those little creatures who act so much more responsibly than we do? Do we "prepare" for life or do we simply exist in life? When we have--do we set aside a portion to use another day? Do we take the time to prepare to achieve goals or do we just set them and without any preparation--expect to accomplish anything?

In our current economic state--by now most people know--we need a college education in order to navigate the obstacle course of life. We no longer have access to the "manufacturing job" that only required an ability to follow instructions, therefore not much education was needed to do "rote work" on a job. Now, we need to know how to "think critically" without someone standing over us, telling us what to do.

One of the biggest problems I've observed as an educator is that not many students take any initiative in learning. They wait--expecting to be spoon fed information--and tend to get angry when expected to think. They have been trained to simply regurgitate what they have been told and most--even when they could successfully refute what they've been told, never say a word. This is not an acceptable path of learning.

In order for one to truly learn anything and learn it well, they must be willing to question every aspect of what they're being told or what they discover. It is through questioning that we learn and the more we discover, the more questions we should have. We can conclude we have learned what's needed when we can no longer ask a question about the matter. But how many people understand that concept?

Those in research--the scientist, the discoverers, the inquisitive, understand this concept which makes them valuable assets in any society. They are seldom satisfied with the first or last thing they discovered and keep questioning their findings. This is not a large group of people--comparatively so to the population on the planet--this is a small, dedicated group of people that many don't acknowledge unless something tremendous is found. Though there are a number of people working on a project--those seeking a cure for cancer--it is seldom the small group--that gets the accolades--but they don't care. They just keep going, and going, and going--like the rabbit promoting the battery.

We are admonished not to think lightly or to despise the small things in life, for if we are truly wise, we know that it is the small steps taken by small groups that make a big difference in the lives of others.

Therefore, we prepare for doing big and great things, by taking the first small steps--in whatever it is--we hope to accomplish. First things first--Remember The Name!

Exposed!

Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit. Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts. Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them. A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin. Proverbs 26:24-28 NIV
One of the reasons that enemies get the best of people is because trusting people simply trust until the enemy is exposed, but sometimes--the exposure comes to late. The very gullible--trust the lying lips and charming speech of those who have no soul and they seldom see beyond the surface of a person's veneer.

How do we know when an enemy lurks within and near? We watch--with guarded hearts and pay attention to whether their actions match their words. Do we see light in their eyes that exposes the transparency of their souls or is there darkness--veiling the evil that fights for control in their soul?

Does the person display paranoid tendencies, claiming someone is always out to get them, following them, or spying on them? Are they constantly complaining about the "false" perceptions others have of them? Are they open to multiple perspectives about issues or are they close-minded, seeking only those they know will agree with them for advice?

Do they think that only what they say is truth and everyone else is a liar?

Is there consistent blame and finger pointing when they refuse to accept responsibility for their own actions?

Years ago, a well-known comedian--Flip Wilson--always made a point of saying in one of his spoofs, "the devil made me do it." Some people--apparently took that literally and accuse the devil of all sorts of things he hasn't done. In fact, the devil can't make anyone do anything other than plant the idea and influence surroundings, but what a person does "their active engagement in anything" is entirely on them. The desire was already within them and they didn't need much to act on their thoughts. If we only do what is right, we never have to fear being exposed for doing wrong.

This is one of the reasons we can rely upon God's Word when we're told through James, that no one should ever say when they are tempted to do something that God tempted them because God will not tempt anyone with evil, but we are drawn into evil by our own lusts--those desires that don't align with God's Word. Reasonably speaking, if God won't make us do anything (we make choices), then the devil won't either. We do what we do because of the desire to do it.

Remember the adage about being able to fool some of the people some of the time, but never all the people, all the time? Those who have discerning spirits--always attentive to the alarms we sense in our spirits when Holy Spirit is warning--know how to recognize the enemy. We watch and take note of all that is not like God and then we warn others, cautioning them to watch as well and not trust a person based upon surface knowledge. Even when we don't know people on a personal level--we can ultimately determine who is leading them simply by paying attention to what they say on social media and how they say it.

The same traits and characteristics we can detect in a person with whom we encounter face-to-face, are detected through what we see said in a "tweet" or a blog post.

The secure individual is not afraid of what others have to say and never expects everyone to agree with them. In fact, they look forward to hearing opposing views and then take the time to scrutinize what has been said and objectively determine whether what was said has merit or not. The secure person is not paranoid and has no fear of what others might do or say to them--they walk in love and The Word tells us that perfect love, casts aside all fears.

The discerning person--hearing what Holy Spirit tells them--will share that insight in an attempt to foil the enemy's plans--exposing them for all they are. Sometimes, exposure comes through the enemy's actions and all the world can see them for what they are. Everything done in darkness or under cover--out of sight--will be exposed to the light of day and scrutinized and judged based upon what is exposed.

There is no cleaning up lies--especially when a person lies about the lies in an attempt to deceive--deliberately--out of greed for power and money.

Knowing in advance that when a person chooses to run for a political office, attempts will be made to "uncover or expose" a person's past, I can rest easy in my decision. There is nothing in my past that hasn't already been publicized in my books in one way or another. My blog posts for the past five years or more have been a mirror into my soul--introspectively--for all who read them. So, I'm continuing the exploratory process, determined to make a difference in America for all Americans.

Trust!

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High. My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever. Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished. The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.  He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity. The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. Psalm 9:1-11 NIV
Trusting in people will ultimately result in a disappointing situation when people have not earned the trust.

We see that on a daily basis--in our personal lives, community and especially in the nation's capitol.
The leadership had done nothing to earn the trust and respect of Americans and still has done nothing to earn the trust and respect of Americans. In fact, there are those who are vastly disappointment with the president who is only concerned with pushing campaign rhetoric and appeasing his base, rather than govern for all America.

Now is not the time to trust a person who thinks bartering healthcare for millions of people for a wall is responsible behavior.

Now is not the time to trust a person who tweets provocation of a crazy man in N. Korea who would love nothing better than to start a nuclear war. The problem of course is once a nuclear war begins, it also signals the end--of all life.

Now is not the time to trust a person who thinks because he has "signed" more Executive Orders than anyone else that it means he has accomplished anything. A caged hamster is constantly moving on their wheel and never getting anywhere.

hamster
We need a leader who understands the art of real negotiation which includes knowing how to compromise--getting the best deal possible for all, not just some!

I'm getting all my ducks in order and trusting God to lead me to the right people so I'll be ready to make that move when the time is right. America needs change--for everyone--and not just the 2% of the population. We need a leader who truly knows God and has a relationship with Him so His wisdom guides--not human instincts (which don't exist) and bullying tactics or corruptive practices.

Am I that person? Only time will tell, but I'm ready to give it a try. While I continue in exploratory mode, I pray that all who are interested in real change will let me know what that change looks like to them. I've expressed what I would like to do, but that means little if what I would like to see doesn't align with what others want to see for this country.

Thanks and look for a link for a survey that should be posted in the coming weeks and pray about your response. We deserve better than what we have.

Steadfast!

Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. For they cannot rest until they do evil; they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble. They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.  The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.  Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.  Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:11-27 NIV
Wow! Keep your head up--looking forward--not backwards--keeping your eyes fixed on what's ahead, not what's behind! Know what's in your heart and guard what God has put there for only what is in your heart will come forth and be seen by others. Carefully think about the path of life you take and then be steadfast--unwavering in all your ways.

Steadfast (according to Merriam Webster) is to be immovable, not subject to changing, firm in belief and determination or adherence.

The steadfast love of The Lord--never ceases, never comes to an end. His mercies are new every morning! Hallelujah!

There is much to said about the physical posture and spiritual posture in this selection from Proverbs. If we keep our eyes focused on what is ahead of us--chances our we are holding our heads up, not down and we can keep the muscles in our neck and back toned, avoiding some of the effects of gravity with atrophied muscles which lead to hanging flesh and aggravation of nerves and muscles.

From a spiritual perspective--if we keep our heads up, we demonstrate a posture that proclaims our confidence in God. We always look to how we can lift others so they too will be able to hold their heads high--not in arrogant pride, but in a confidence that says, we trust God. When we look forward--we are ready to receive all the goodness He has for us, putting aside our pasts and those things that kept us from receiving God's best. When our gazes are straight ahead; it's difficult to look down upon others.

When we trust God and know that His plans are what is best for us, we can confidently put one foot in front of the other without worrying about stumble, because if we stay on the path He has determined for us, He will clear the way and nothing will hamper our journey.

I can't speak for anyone else today, but I am confidently moving forward in all I hear God speak to me, trusting the path He has established and I will not allow what others say or do to deter me.

This is the day The Lord has made and I shall rejoice and be glad in it--holding my head high and looking ahead to all He has for me!

Deliverance!

The LORD detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires. Proverbs 11:1-6 NIV
At this moment--in the United States of America--we need deliverance--from the schemes of a unstable individual in the White House--whose greed for power and wealth may be the destruction of all mankind.

Though the Evangelical leaders in the church-world, proclaimed that he was God's choice for president, most--who are capable of critical thinking--can see (we're not wearing rose-colored glasses) this was not true. How do we know? We know by the Word!
  • God detests liars
  • God hates those who cheat others
  • God desires peace among nations
  • God desires the righteous to defend the rights of the poor and needy
  • God is not enamored by those who boast falsely about anything
  • God wants us to be faithful to Him and others in all we do
  • God honors integrity
  • God honors humility
  • God honors the upright (those who walk in His righteousness)
  • God honors those who seek His wisdom
  • God honors those who are quick to listen, but slow to speak
  • God honors those who are compassionate
  • God honors those who are "living epistles" of the love of Christ
This list could go on and on, but I think I've made the point--that nothing the #WHidiot has done would be honored by God. He's in the White House because Republicans have a need to control others--and what they do in their personal lives--and because they think they are superior to any other group of people and they misuse--or rather misstate--their relationship with God in order to justify what they do.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--and again, and again, and again, until they realize their so-called christianity--is rooted in man's desire to control others. They are the 21st Century Pharisees who think if "religion" is observed in any way other than the way they observe it--it's wrong. And that's the problem with religion--a situation in which mere mortals concoct ideologies and rules for others to obey.

Relationship with God through Jesus Christ is all about a desire to please Him, not men. Within the relationship--we are free to communicate with God through Holy Spirit and the Written Word and seek wisdom and direction without condemnation. Within the relationship--we allow Holy Spirit to control us--not the dictates of men. Within the relationship--we know that God is pro-choice because He has given mankind choice from the garden and will to the end.

Deliverance--comes in being free to worship the God of creation and knowing that all things created were created by Him and without Him, nothing was created. It is through our relationship with God that we know true deliverance and once we understand that deliverance--nothing mere man does can ever hold us in bondage again.

The Deliverer--Jesus Christ--has delivered us from the bondage of sin and everything that God hates and despises--once we accept Him into our lives and willingly give Him control over all we think, say, or do. That's deliverance! And it's why I'll continue to proclaim that the Evangelical leaders lied to people when they said, God chose a president who does not honor Him in any way.

Now, perhaps--just maybe--some will be delivered from the bondage in which they're held in their faith in man over God by reading my blog posts--angrily or not--and will seek understanding of how God functions in the earth today, through His Word and right relationship with Him.

And The Question Is...?

Jesus entered the temple courts, and, while he was teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him. “By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave you this authority?” Jesus replied, “I will also ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John’s baptism—where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or of human origin?” They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ But if we say, ‘Of human origin’—we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Then he said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.  Matthew 21:23-27 NIV
Funny, how people can always question what a person is doing or has decided to do when they don't have any answers for what they do. Jesus proved that to the Pharisees and it's being proven on a regular basis when people raise questions for which they do not have an answer.

So, the question is...for my intent to make a run for president is why? What makes me think people will support my run? And my question is...considering the current climate in Washington, why wouldn't people support me?

Here's the thing--I can list my qualifications until the cows come home and that still wouldn't convince some. So, I'll just wait until the decision has been made--past the "testing the waters" stage to really bring it home. For now--the simplest answer is--I'm more qualified to be president than the current person in the White House.

He has questionable wealth and Russian ties and greed for money and power.

I have integrity, intelligence, wisdom, and compassion. I am mentally stable and secure in who I am and have no need to compare my accomplishments to a predecessor--on any level. My only interest in wanting to be president is MASA--Make American Safe Again for all Americans--not just some.

I want to make education in this country something we call be proud of and other countries will envy.

I want to make healthcare--accessible and affordable for all through a single-payer plan that would rival most European plans.

I want to make Senior Citizen secure in their retirement years so they won't have to worry about their survival.

I want to make the criminal justice system fair and equitable where every crime deserves the same penalty--and no special consideration is given to those simply because they have more money than others.

I want to make dreams coming true possible for every American who works in this country and contributes their fair share into our tax system.

I want to make sure that every human being in America is treated equally and fairly in the job market and every other venue.

I want to make sure that mothers who have to work can do so without feeling guilty or being overburdened with childcare expenses that makes their working--futile.

I want to make sure those sitting on the benches in our justice system will make decisions based upon the laws and not political biases.

I want to create an environment in which all people can come together and plot a path of peace for all nations so we won't have to worry about wars.

I want an opportunity to show the world, not all Americans are bullying idiots and many of us know how to act responsibly, with decorum, tact, and diplomacy, earning back their respect.

Now, the question is...why wouldn't people want to support someone who wants what's best for all Americans rather than 2% of the nation's population?

Everyone has to decide for themselves in every election and I'm not saying, "I'm God's Choice" for anything, but I did pray and seek His direction and I'm acting upon what He's showing me.

I'm not going anywhere and until people show me they won't support me--en masse--I'll continue with plans to make that historical run.

In Humility!

The path of life leads upward for the prudent to keep them from going down to the realm of the dead. The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place. The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but gracious words are pure in his sight. The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live. The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil. The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise. Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15:24-33 NIV
It is with great humility that I acknowledge the quest I've taken upon myself is going to be the biggest challenge experienced in my life.

Though there are some who may be hesitant to grasp the reality of a potential presidential run by me, others have embraced the idea to the point of being willing to board the bandwagon that as yet, has no wheels. I am thoroughly humbled by their trust and support and candidness.

I remember saying to my walking buddy, that in this place and time (as always with me), I need people to help with my campaign, but I don't want anyone around who is simply going to agree with everything I say. I need people in my life right now who will question everything I do--to ignite critical thinking about everything I say or do. I'm not afraid of correction and when I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it.

There is much I do not know about undertaking the challenges of a presidential run, but I'm an avid researcher and know how to say, "Uncle" and call upon others who have the knowledge and expertise that I don't. I'm willing to learn and work hard to earn the trust and respect of those who believe in me and to maintain their trust and respect.

One person expressed their concern about me risking trading my faith because of all the unethical behavior associated with politics or compromising my stance with regard to biblical principles that I teach and write about--prolifically. I appreciate her concern and addressed it and she was assured that I would do nothing without putting the issue before The Lord and would obey Him.

Now, I realize that my belief in the Bible and relationship with Jesus Christ may cause some to halt--mid-stream in a desire to support my run and I can certainly understand it. But let me say this much to clear the air before we even start to put those wheels on the bandwagon. I have not changed my views about what God has said and won't change my views about what God has said. I recognize that people--every human being capable of making a logical decision--have a right to do so without my intervention. Though I may not agree with their lifestyle or decisions, none of that will stop me from loving them as a human being and praying for them to receive God's best for their lives.

God is pro-choice (giving us all free-will and not forcing us to do anything) and therefore, I am pro-choice. This does not mean I am pro-abortion, nor does it mean that I or anyone else has a right to tell anyone else what to do with their lives. I believe that every woman has a right to make the best decision she can about her life and I know there are situations in which an abortion is the right choice and the only person who has to live with the choice, is the person making the decision--not me or others.

I cannot see myself--as a Born-Again Believer--attempting to force my views upon others when I don't have to live their life. I am concerned about all life--especially the lives of babies, mothers, children, senior citizens,  and students and know that it is the responsibility of the Believer to take defend the rights of the poor, vulnerable and needy. So while I admit, I do not understand the choices some people make (and I'm sure that's equally true in how others feel about me), I can respect their right to make decisions about their lives. As long as a person's rights don't infringe upon mine or mine infringe upon them--we're good. The wisest people know that whether we agree about anything or not, there are consequences for everything we do that will impact our lives either negatively or positively.

I've also been reminded how the enemy will work overtime in trying to dig up dirt in an effort to create animosity against me. I know what people cannot find to undermine me they will manufacture in an attempt to discredit me. I can't stop them. People can say whatever they want to say and nothing they say defines truth about me or others. Therefore, they can have at it. I do not have to respond to foolishness or stupidity or trumped up allegations about anything and I won't. As I pointed out to a couple of people--my life is "literally" an open book. Anything, anyone wants to know me--good, bad, indifferent--can be found in one of my books or in a blog post and they're all available online. I have nothing to hide.

Knowing the challenges I'll be facing over the coming months will certainly keep me communicating with my Daddy and because He loves me, He'll guide me every step of the way. If by chance I happen to misunderstand something He's telling me, Holy Spirit will be right there to remind me and set me back on track.

Father,
Thank You for wisdom and insight and humility to understand I need You--every hour of every day--I need You. Thank you for loving me, correcting, and my guiding me in all that needs to be done and for sending people in my direction that can and will keep the wheels on the bandwagon turning in the direction in which You would have us to go. Remind me that nothing I do or encourage others to do should be done in an effort to bring glory to anyone other than You.
In Jesus' name I pray and thank You, Amen!

Win With Favor!

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. Proverbs 3:1-7 NIV
I am amazed and grateful for the support I've received from those who acknowledged my intent for a presidential run in 2020. As I said before, this time over the next few months will be used in my quest to determine the feasibility and the needs of others. I am concerned about the welfare of all people so I must make sure that I represent the needs of all people.

What I bring to the table for a presidential run is this: A desire to see all Americans thrive; especially the 98% who were not privy to the access of wealth (some born into it) of the other 2%. When I speak on behalf of the 98%; it is from the experience of living as we do, enduring what many have endured, and overcoming as many have overcome--without gaining wealth by cheating, lying, or humiliating others. Beyond my flaws and shortcomings, I still have much to offer this country if I'm elected president.

This is how I've explained what I have to offer to others:
  • I fully recognize that I don't know everything I need to know to be president of the United States, but I'm also wise enough to know how to find those people who know all I don't know.
  • I am a qualified educator (with multiple degrees), an avid reader and prolific writer.
  • I am more than just an educator; I am a life-long learner and look forward to learning something new every day.
  • I am both compassionate and passionate and believe in standing up for all who are unable to fight back for themselves.
  • I am a committed Believer in The Word and in my relationship with Jesus Christ (though I know there are some who think a liberal can't be a Christian--based on what I've seen of the "far-right Christians," I'm better at being more like Jesus than they will ever be).
  • I know many of the issues that plague women--especially women of color--because I experienced them through living.
  • I know the challenge of trying to raise a family on minimum wage jobs as a single parent and yet never giving up.
  • I know the challenges of creating an environment and opportunities needed for a quality education because I've taught in some of the most difficult situations and yet managed to inspire students to excel, in spite of their circumstances.
  • I know the importance of the need for equality in pay for women who are working just as hard as their male counterparts, but often in more challenging situations.
  • I know the challenges that many grandparents face on a daily basis trying to raise grandchildren because I'm doing just that.
  • I know the challenges many senior citizens face because I am one and my husband I face those same challenges.
  • I know the challenges students face in trying not to get involved with negative behaviors and in rebelling against parents because I was a rebellious teenager.
The list could go on, and when the time comes--it shall.  I know what I know because I've lived it and even with all the experiences I've had, I don't know it all and so I need to hear from those who have "learned to appreciate life because of having lived it" and want others to learn from their experiences.
I'm knowledgeable in a number of areas, but realize I have much to learn and will spend time seeking those who know to help me understand what I don't know.

My interest in running for president is not just a "reaction" to the current inept administration (though that is part of it), but it is more about caring about all Americans and doing what I can for them and in maintaining peace throughout the world.  Plans are coming together--rather quickly--and with the help of those who have already offered I should be able to present initial ideas for policy plans that will lift all Americans--to whatever standard they want to reach.

I don't presume to know what all Americans need or want, but I will be asking questions and I hope as many Americans as possible will respond to a survey that will be available in the coming weeks.
Whether I continue to making that decision to becoming a candidate for President remains to be seen, but if I do and even if I lose--I will still have won and become a better person for the experience of a lifetime. With the favor of the Lord showered upon me, I win!

The Favor of The Lord is Upon Me!

Dare To See Yourself!

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy. Proverbs 14:10 NIV

Here's a challenge for everyone today. Get a mirror or go to the mirror in your bathroom or in your car. Take a good look at yourself and be willing to see the depths of your soul through the windows of your eyes. What do you see?

Do you see joy or sadness?

Do you see love or hate?

Do you see angst and bitterness?

Do you see helplessness or hope?

What do you really see?

Think about that for a moment. Now think about "why" you see what you see.

Far too often, people are bitter and hateful because they do not recognize the seed that has been planted by circumstances beyond their control. That includes how parents raised them or not raised them (love and hate are taught)--the struggles they fought through on a daily basis--or the envy and jealousy they felt when they looked at others and wondered, "Why them and not me?"

I have a better question for everyone to wonder about--why not you?

Look, every morning (because of my age) I take a good look at myself in a magnifying mirror so I can "see" the hair growth and pluck it out before I leave the house. Some women don't care, but I do. Nothing creeps me out like discovering I left the house with a long, curly black hair sticking out my face (chin) wherever it might be. But now here's the tricky part--cataracts are forming in both eyes and even when I look before I leave, I don't always see the ornery little hair trying to escape detection. When I "feel across my chin" even the tiniest hair is discovered and back into the bathroom I go with my trusty little tweezers until the culprit is gone.

Even though I get a little put out when I miss those hairs, it's nothing that compares to how I feel when I know I have slighted someone--unintentionally--and when I look at myself--I recognize when I've headed in the wrong direction and immediately, I repent.

Though life's circumstances (in the last 65 years) have provided plenty of fodder and fuel and fertilizer to nurture bitterness and disappointment--I refuse to let it grow. God has been too good to me to allow a seed of bitterness to linger in my soul and bud, attempting to flower and spread like an ivy throughout my being. So, I allow His love to flood my soul and heart--washing away the bitterness and disappointment--never allowing hate to bud or flower and every time--every time--I get angry and want to hate--He reminds me He is love and if I truly belong to Him; I cannot hate. What a wonderful feeling--to have so much love within that hate has no room to enter.

Now, have you had time to really look at yourself and think about what you see? If you haven't, keep looking and dare to see beyond the surface, all the way down to the depths of your feet.  Is there anything there that needs to be plucked out? Do you have a trusty pair of tweezers?

Own what you see and be willing to rid yourself of anything that will nurture bitterness and hate and allow the Love of God to fill you to overflowing and the world will see--the joy that resides within.

This joy I have--the world didn't give it and I won't let the world take it away!

When Getting Weary!

It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then tolerate me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or slaps you in the face. To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that! Whatever anyone else dares to boast about—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast about. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they Abraham’s descendants? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 2 Corinthians 11:15-30 NIV
In a moment of weakness today, I fell short of being compassionate and forgiving in my thought life because I'm weary.

I'm weary of the unending corruption we see revealed in the news on the part of elected officials. I'm weary of the self-righteous pseudo-christians who are nothing but hypocrites. I'm weary of people disrespecting others demonstrating their bigotry and hatred on a daily basis. I'm weary of the intolerance shown towards by many who think they're the only ones who have a right to an opinion. I'm weary of people defending the #WHidiot because there is no defense for him. He is a lying, cheating, fraudulent con artist who has manipulated the GOP into going along with his buffoonery and the Russian hacking. I'm weary of his "posturing" running his mouth like babbling brook. I'm weary of his rhetoric which could end all life as we know trying to be something he's not. Yes, I'm weary, but so was Paul and since he never gave up, neither will I.

I may resort to being "silent" on a matter for a few days, but it won't stop me from airing my views in other venues. America cannot allow the idiot in the White House to continue with his "agenda" that may include engaging in a war we won't win. We didn't win in Korea before and we won't now.

Of course, Russia has no problem with the US engaging the maniac in N. Korea for once it is established that we've used up resources fighting in that corner, Russia will just sneak in the back door left open by the idiot and then we'll all be screwed.

The more I see the complacency demonstrated by those who support the idiot, the more I'm determined that I'm going to do something about it. And the first step may just be--giving him a run for his money in 2020. Not only will I make a presidential run; I'll encourage anyone who has more to offer Americans than this idiot--to run as well--rhetorically and literally so he'll know--we are sick and tired of being weary with him in the White House.

So, when we get weary, it's a good time to refresh and get ready to fight back--even more determined than ever to make a difference.

Resurrection!

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words. Luke 24:1-8 NIV
Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.” The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about. Luke 18:31-34 NIV
It is comforting to know that everything prophesied about the Coming Messiah has been fulfilled--just as it was told.

Because of His obedience and willingness to sacrifice His life for love; we all have an opportunity to live with Him for all eternity--just as He said we would.

There are many things that have been said throughout the past week and will continue in churches all over the world today, but the most important thing that can ever be said is, "He rose from the dead so we might have life." It is through His resurrection that we gain grace--unmerited favor--to live with Him, not because of how good we are.

Actually, our entrance into Heaven has nothing to do with our being good, but on how we live that demonstrates we belong to Jesus.

Are we loving and forgiving?

Are we defending the rights of the poor and the needing?

Are we seeking God for direction in all we do or are we allowing the dictates of man to control us?

No one has demonstrated love with the ultimate sacrifice of giving their life so we might live other than Jesus.

No one has died and rose again--just as He said He would--returning to the Father--preparing a place for us--other than Jesus.

So take a few minutes or the entire day or the rest of the your life and think about what His Resurrection really means to you and enjoy the celebration!

Happy Resurrection Day!

Resist!

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NIV

Today--as many of us prepare to march in demonstration of our frustration about the lack of transparency exhibited by the #WHidiot--we will resist the devil and oppose him on every side until he comes clean about his relationship with Russia by revealing his tax returns. He has something to hide and it's not about how rich he is. It's about his connections to Russia on a financial level.

The "muscle-flexing" show he's putting on for the world playing "chicken" with N. Korea is simply a demonstration of his desire to have center stage. He's too foolish to even realize the danger he's creating for everyone-- and though he may believe that he's safe--the end results of a nuclear war will not discriminate from the poor to the White House--obliteration--for all.

If I live through this day and the weeks to come; I will be seeking The Lord for direction as I struggle with a decision to run for president in 2020. After all, if an illiterate imbecile can run and win, I have a good chance at winning as well. The difference between him and me--I have knowledge of civics, the constitution, geography, economics, education, philosophy and a heart of compassion and Holy Spirit directing my steps. Did I leave out anything else as a qualifier? Oh! I have no problem with transparency--background checks, birth certificate checks, college transcripts or tax returns. I think that just about covers it all. Except one more thing--I'd run as an Independent--it's about Americans, not a political party! I will bring back integrity and honor to the White House! I have no need to lie!

Keep Watching! It's bound to be fun!

War - Edwin Starr

This should have been the video attached to "Provocation!"

Provocation!

But am I the one they are provoking? declares the LORD. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?“ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: My anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place—on man and beast, on the trees of the field and on the crops of your land—and it will burn and not be quenched.“ ‘This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you. But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. From the time your ancestors left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again I sent you my servants the prophets. But they did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their ancestors.’“When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer. Therefore say to them, ‘This is the nation that has not obeyed the LORD its God or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips. Jeremiah 7:19-28 NIV
Wow! This pronouncement against all who do not seek God and obey Him and is just as relevant today as it was then!

TO THE EVANGELICAL LEADERS WHO TOUTED THE #WHidiot AS GOD'S CHOICE:

Do you see what happens when God is not consulted? Do you see what happens when truth perishes from your lips and you promote lies? Do you understand--yet--how your lies and promotion of this idiot can bring irreparable harm to Americans--all over the globe? If you do not understand the danger your lies and promotion of an imbecile then you are just as responsible for what he does as he is.

TO THE SUPPORTERS OF THE #WHidiot:
Are you still giddy with excitement of his illegal win of the election? Do you see him promoting or acting on your behalf? Does eliminating your healthcare make you scream with joy? Does the possibility of losing your loved ones--both male and female--in another war excite you beyond belief because of his reckless rhetoric? Aren't you just tickled pink that your tax dollars are paying for his weekend excursions, his children's security detail, his wife's security detail, the construction of a helipad at Mar-a-largo, and the launched missiles that have cost over $200 million dollars? Are you happy yet? How about those good paying jobs--have you gotten yours and aren't you just thrilled that only the rich will benefit from his proposed tax reform? Doesn't that make you want to just jump and shout with joy? Did you know you were also "electing" the offspring of an idiot to be in charge of policy decisions? Well, did you?

Since you chose to believe the liar-in-chief--are you ready to accept responsibility for the fact that America will never be as great as it could be because of the madman at the helm? I know you believed the lies he spouted because you voted for him and promoted all the "fake news" about Hillary--aren't you just super-proud of yourselves?

TO THE RESISTANCE:

Don't get weary in doing what is right in order to save us from the idiocy brought upon us by lying "religious-pseudo-christians" and the "gullible, frustrated white middle class workers" who simply didn't know any better.

Stand firm in pushing elected leaders to do their jobs. Call, write, Tweet. Never let them forget how they got their jobs.

Stand firm in pushing the Department of Justice to dig as deep as need to dig to make sure truth surfaces about all the involvement by those in the White House that manipulated the 2016 Election.

Stand firm in your resolve to make sure, when one gets weary, another encourages and  keeps up the pace.

Stand firm in your resolve to push the media in staying focused on the investigations and not all the distractions #WHidiot is creating to delay the process.

For those of us who know--and have an intimate relationship with God--we know the truth and we will continue praying that truth will save us and will not promote false news, provoking all the other crazy imbeciles who would love nothing more than to "show us" their might.

The Word tells not to provoke God, for fathers not to provoke children and we should know better than to provoke the enemies of America with foolish rhetoric. If we're going to provoke anything from God--let's provoke His protection in our obedience to His Word.

For Those In Authority!

Honor
Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness—in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior, To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you. An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain. One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1 NIV
Pray for understanding and re-read and then compare what is said to what we see in the behavior of those in authority.

Yes, I know this is Paul talking about authority in the church, but the same traits and expectations for leadership in the church should extend to those in authority anywhere else.

Think about it!

Of course the first person who comes to mind for me is the #WHidiot and all those in Congress who claim to be Christians but have not learned to walk the Christian life. They do not exercise discipline; they are corrupt and self-serving, seeking what they can do for themselves and not concerned about what is best for all Americans; and they lack self-control, are narcissistic, liars.

When God gives us instructions about how to be leaders, we ought to use those instructions across the board--in whatever situation we find ourselves--whether political or not whether paid or not. This is what it means to be a great leader.

Based upon God's Word, we do not have a great leader in the White House; in fact, we have a tantrum-throwing toddler-in-chief commanding America's military to stroke his own ego, not to protect Americans or American interest. This is an unacceptable way to lead and it certainly won't protect us from the enemy--which is not outside the United States, but in the White House.

God knows and I'm counting on His love to prevail and protect those of us who know from the folly of the fool who thinks he is more than he is.
