"Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have
faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the
fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed,
and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done" (Matthew 21:21).
This
response from Jesus to His disciples regarding the fig tree's demise
helps us to understand two things: Being non-productive will lead to
our demise and when our faith deletes doubt, we can "say" and it will be
done, not by our might, but because of His response to faith.
Heavenly Father,
We
seek Your guidance in all things--daily living, spiritual warfare, and
in pleasing You. Help us today, and everyday to remember that when we
seek You first, we will find the answers to all questions that may
bombard us in the natural and in the spiritual realm. We praise You for
Your loving kindness and mercy and grace that we could never earn. We
praise You for the angels we know You have assigned to each of us and we
thank You for keeping them alert and on duty. Comfort hearts that have
lost loved ones; especially the children who did not have a chance to
live a full life. We know that You know all things and even though we
may not understand everything that happens, we trust You. Thank You for
peace and calm abiding in the hearts of all and creating an environment
that will resolve itself peacefully. Thank You for giving us insight
into the enemy's ability to influence others and for giving us the
weapons to defeat the enemy--the ability to love as You love and
willingness to forgive. Thank You for reminding us that when we please
You, You will give us the desires of our hearts.
My desire today
is for peace and love to reign all over this world and especially in our
nation and I declare it done, in Jesus' name. Amen!
