Thinking on a Higher Plane!

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Romans 12:2)

Paul reminds us in this passage of scripture that we must think on a higher level than the level on which the world thinks.  We should not be concerned with what the world does, but to allow ourselves to be transformed (more like God), by aligning our thoughts with His thoughts.

How do we do that?  By staying in The Word, meditating on The Word--day and night.  The Word should become so ingrained in us that we dream The Word and doing what God would have us to do. When we change our thoughts or how we think, our actions or conduct should change.  When our conduct changes, we should become more like Him and able to draw others into the knowledge of Christ by what we do, not what we say.

People who are carnal Christians know what to say, but their actions reveal a lack of knowledge about how God works.  They know enough to quote The Word but they lack faith to do The Word. Carnal Christians do everything the way they see others do it and then make excuses for saying it's okay.  There are a number of things that are not of God and only serve to keep people from receiving God's best in their lives.  We, who know The Truth, should not have faith in gambling, or taking risks with the resources we have been given when we can help others.  We should not condone behaviors that are not of God.  Just because people all around us are doing things, that we know are not of God. Should we join in to fit in?  We should never go along to get along; especially if what we want to go along to do is not of God. Don't get it twisted!  God knows those who are His and He is not fooled by a surface level of understanding or thinking when it is about Him.

Clear your head and focus on those things above and not below.  Raise the bar and think on a higher plane! We are not perfect, but we strive to reach perfection, because it is His Will. If we do what the world does; we'll get what the world gets--temporary satisfaction--that won't last.  It is only what we do for Christ that will last!
